i have cut new factory bump stops down. the rear diff is 1/4" from the bed at full compression on the bump stop. in the front the axle is 1/4" from the pan at full compression.

i will need to raise the motor when i do the front notch and cut a small rectangle in the bed floor for the rear notch. my bed is no cream puff so its no big deal.

Thats what i was thinking, but was'nt sure.. Pretty slick adaptation if its owner installed, instead of some plastic top new style....

I flipped my front axle and the drag link hit the pan.. I bet if I had new body pad's and motor mounts it would'nt, but I went back to the OEM way, only pulling every other leaf out. My bed is in perfect shape, "unbelievable shape" thats whay I don't want to cut out a relief box in it.. I do want to get it lower a bit more to make the stance right, thining of pulling a couple leaf's "leaves" (whatever or how ever you spell it..lol) to get it lower that might be a good afternoon job come here soon...

My 60 4x4 after the bed and one door swap.Still have the drivers door, both fenders and both bumpers to swap out plus some minor mechanical work and eventually body work and paint. Can't wait to start driving it.

Does anyone know if there is something out there that I can change the front volare rotors to a ford bolt pattern? want to run the same type of rims front and back..right now it has 14 in front off the volare and 15 in back for the ford spacing..

  16. Pipes, that's a good looking truck. I am really liking the dash. Do you have any more pics of the dash and gauge layout?

Looks a lot like "cracked glass" formica.

  21. I was thinking that it might have been something like a pearlescent pick guard material. Looks cool though.

I really like the steering wheel. I am always interested in different options other than stock. Check out cjcool.com for many pictures of F100s.

I think you might be right ..its not a sticker though it seems to be sprayed with some sort of adhesive. I got the truck of of Delaware George here on the Hamb.. real good dude.. Im sure he'd be able to answer what it is from.. I'll have to send him a pm.

I might as well join in. Here are a few pictures of one of my projects. A really rough 57 panel. I do have a quarter panel for it.

Here's some more pictures of my rough 59 4 door pickup. I still haven't decided whether to build a slammed half ton pickup, with a big back window, or a 2 ton car hauler out of it.

The pickup was originally an Air Force truck, and it suffered at the hands of a guy who thought he was going to restore it. All of the parts were stripped off, and it was sandblasted and primed. Everything was sandblasted, and everything was primed. Lights, gauges, everything. Luckily, I have found all of the parts to rebuild it, now I need money, motivation, and time.

Can anyone tell me the length of a stock seat and how high it is from floor pan to top of the seat cushion?
