    And isn't that one of the things we strive for? The molded ones look like you tried a little harder to get things right. Especially when you're running hoodless.

    Factory valve covers work great, but they get swapped out quick.

    yeah...still running stockers in the car of mine that has the flex hose.

    If you want the car to look like an old hot rod, then the rubber corrugated hose is the way to go. If you want it to look really nice, then the molded stuff is neat...or bend up some metal tube, and use short straight rubber hoses to connect it.

    Whatever you want, it'll work.

    I think Metalshaper kind of wants to distance himself from that, but it looks like this is gonna take on a life of its own. Embrace your destiny Metalshaper, embrace your destiny...:D

    I use the ugly one and no problems so far. Doesn't bother me right now cause everything else looks like **** under the hood too (for now).

    That and finding a molded hose CAN be a pain in the ***, even then seems like the one i find that i can cut to fit is always like $40 fu*kin dollars :eek:
    Godddamnn im gonna cut it up!.
    thats a set of plugs and a gallon of 91*

    I wouldn't hesitate to use um, I focus on $$$:Go fast ratio.

    Daaaang! They look better on the 57 than they did on my 65 Mustang! I don't have a problem with the ruber molded hose. It's the metal ones that scream "Pro/street or Streetrod" Them....not so much!

    I use the flex hose too and have had no problems. It's not like someone digs your hotrod until they see the flex radiator hoses and then they're completly disgusted with it. In the 10 years I have been driving my Sedan there has not been a single comment on the radiator hoses, carb scoop yes, flex hose no.

    Posted this on another thread as the subject came up...they've been around since the early 40's;

    Those ribbed flex hoses are a mark of nostalgia to me. I could have used the plain ones and sought out these with a purpose on my 28 sedan highboy. They are also greater pleasure for her but they fall short on the receptacle ends.

    Have them on my rod. If that is what you notice when you look at it, then I have failed, or you're really jaded. Either way, they work fine, and I don't care.
