I've been following this thread for about a week now and all I can say is WOW ! What great pictures, makes me feel young again. I'm going to dig through my pictures and post some soon but in the mean time here's a shot I wanted to post. Remember these beauties ? If anything could make your blood run cold it was getting one of these in the mail. I kept mine all these years and recently my oldest daughter had it framed as a surprise.
She also took it to school to show to her students but they didn't get it. Different times I guess. Rich USAF 1965 to 1969

The Link to the WWII Barbie and Ken dolls is one thing. But all the repeat posting off of it is getting out off hand as far as what this thread is about. At best I hope is that those get deleted and not this thread. Don't get me wrong, I get it and it's funny, but it's not what this board is about.

Agreed, not trying to be the picture police but they are not vintage pics. Funny, just not vintage.

Exactly , my friend said the Dragster had made a pass prior to Anderson's run and they were just taking way to long down there . He didn't mention any other cars . He also said it was suspected that whoever fueled the car may have put to much or the car wasn't burning it fast enough and stretched the burn longer . He said Anderson was brilliant with a slide rule and could tell the crew exactly how much fuel to put in it for perfect "burn" time . I don't know anything about if the car had a fuel shut off or could be shut off . I was under the impression they would put just enough fuel for the run and let it shut off when it ran out . I could be wrong so don't flame me if I'm wrong .

The Moskvich 400 might be O.K. they were really pre war Opel Kadets
    the Russians bought the tooling

The later Moskvich was rubbish they sold a lot in the U.K. they were cheap!. Very few lasted more than 5 years. They were replaced by the Lada which was even worse
