BAREOOT; I vote for a pale shade of lavender in a matte or satin finish; that would make the '48 pop and stand out in a crowd IMO....primer reminds me of the old days.......

This thing has good line. Looking at your former cars, I would say it is in good hands.

  7. Baby Blue... Not easter egg, not bright... maybe put some pearl in the flattened clear over top to take the edge off.

Love it! I was going to say a darker purple then that one, so I'm glad you agree. I like satin finishes. 455 Poncho in a chopped Pontiac torpedo is awesome.

I own a lavenderish 48 pontiac silver streak with the same size tires and its sub'd with a nova clip. But its not chopped. I'll try and find a pic to post. its done in some Home made left over primers and paint I mixed up one day when i was bored. It needs redone. Been driving it for a long time now. Rides like a cadillac on the highway.

Big Olds, g.f. Denise's sweet Olds rag top looks great in lavender, kinda girlie for me, but I don't know nuthin. I would use a neutral color like tan or cream, pretty exciting huh. I just like the clean look it gives, the car is already outstanding in it's body style and stands out great. Your rides are always super and this one will follow suit, congrats on a super cool ride. ~sololobo~

  28. Awesome Chief!

I'm sure your painter told you it cost more to paint B/C satin, than shiny.

There are so many incredible colors that are available now, so many choices.
I painted a OTM a Dodge color called "Deep Amethist Pearlcoat"
Sometimes dark, sometimes bright, and a whole different color at night under lights.
Honda has a Darker....."Black Amethist Pearl"

    Here is another example.....
