No, I meant just enough to see if the clutch works, and if it moves, feel the steering, and such.....just an excuse to see if "drives" :D

cheers guys, I'm thrilled... this project just climbed "over the hump" so to speak. Even though it has to come all back apart one more time,,, after it runs it just seems so much more "done". WHEW!

Hey nice sig line Ross!:D I was thinking I might have to use that one on the T-shirts for my non-existant hot rod shop.

Hahaha, that's funny! Here I thought I was putting on my best optimist hat!:D:D:D Seriously, a month is probably very optimistic... I don't have the QC yet and I can't really drive it until I get that installed as the torque tube is VERY close to the floor with a stock banjo in there... might be able to putt around the block or something, but no serious driving until the tt is lower.

Rolled it outside and fired it up again this morning, after 15 minutes or so of varying the rpm to break in the cam, I let it settle into a nice burbly idle ... Pulled a valve cover... lots of oil EVERYWHERE which is always a good sign on these engines. no overheating, no leaks at my radiator modifications, although I did notice one of the freeze plugs needs removed and reseated/sealed, it was dripping just a little bit... man. I cannot get enough of this car!:)

I keep getting distracted by its awesomeness. I go out to work on it and realize I've been sitting there staring at the car for like 15 minutes! Time to put the blinders on and get this sucker wrapped up!

aw, come on, throw in the TT, then some add foam above it so it don't bang, and cruise the street"spreading the gospel". You'd look like a real "hoodlum" in handcuffs :)

Fucking awesome!!!! Probably one of my all time favorites and I planned on doing a similar flame job on my '32 eventually and I want to do an all red interior like that car. So rad!!!! It's also one of the reasons I'm letting go of all my HEMI shit. I keep watching videos of that roadster and the engine is making me insane!!!!

    DO it do it!!!

Wow this car is moving along. Do you have any close up pictures of what you did with the rad?

I'll snap a few when it comes apart for paint, Duke. Basically removed the trashed core from the og one, left the top tank attached to the frame, cut the mounting flanges off the mustang unit, slid it in into the orig frame and welded the tabs to the og frame. Still looks convincing original unless you're laying on the ground. I also had to move the inlet to the opposite side. Total cost: $144...

Wow, that was a good idea on the rad. I am going to have to try to find a 34 rad to do this for my car.

Heck yeah. I approve. I've been kicking around the idea of doing a Von Dutch inspired paint job like the Paula Sylvia Ardun T roadster there was a thread over. I prefer the earlier flame jobs over the more mainstream flame jobs nowadays.

Flames need to be brought back in a big way. The Sylvia T is another great example of them being used. I don't know how I feel about them on a 33-34 only because the grille shell is plated. I like them on Deuce grille shells because they flow from the very front back.

Mo-flo... yea beads are a little crooked, luckily, the worst one will be under the seat, hahaha! Hard to crank that damn thing and steer a large 18g panel through there by yourself!
