    Eric,

Your part should be in Cali. by now. The box is triangular in shape, and about three feet long. Have a safe trip!

Finally had some time to work on the car again! Bought these great door handles (NOS) that fit the bill. They are MG TD handles from the mid fifties with the added bonus of being lockable. The base of the handle (which will protrude through the trim) is the exact diameter of the trim. Fabricated a bracket which will be mounted with small bolts behing the trim and on the side of the door. Finally got the cup off the stem and started tapping some thread. Looks like these door handles are going to work!

Thank you gentlemen! I'm just glad I've finally found a door handle that will work! Hopefully I'll have one installed by the end of this week, time permitting.

Very nice. They should blend into the trim very nicely looking at the car from the side.

Thank you plmczy. That's the idea, to blend in with the car while being functional. I did get some more work done on the door handles but haven't installed them yet. I'll continue with them when I'm back from Del Mar.

Got in very late to Helsinki last night and met up again with Pasi (C0ra1|1 here on the Hamb) in the local wateringhole "on the rocks". He was very excited regarding his new 29 model a project with loads of pics to show me. That's going to be one awesome ride when its finished this summer! He then proceeded to give me a selfmade plaque he designed for me. I was lost for words, just amazing! It was good to see you again Pasi and thank you again for your great artwork! Here are a couple of pics. (last pic is showing Pasi ready to hit the road in freezing temperatures on his 5 mile bicycle trip home at 03:30 in the morning.:D)

Hi Eric, beer has many positive effects: it's also a good cure for freezing weather!
See you again next time in Helsinki. Have a great holiday in SoCal!

Well Glenn, after a good 10 hour flight to LA and a drive to Del Mar, CA, I got the door lock link and it looks great! Thank you again. Also received some new dual groove pullies for my Hemi, 41 Ply sunvisors which I was missing, and inside the big box is my new grill. All of these parts were already in my room when I checked in. I'm going to drive to Atlas Chrysler Obsolete today to pick up some more stuff.:D:D:D Bart and I have a busy schedule the coming days before the GoodGuys show starts on friday. Can't wait!

Had a great first day here in CA. Got up very early (thanks jetlag) and walked along the beach trying to wake up.........after breakfast, Bart and I drove back up to LA and met up with Chip. (I know, slightly O/T, but I respect the skills.) Had a quick look in his shop, where a very nice Caddy is being done, then drove to Murrietta (Atlas Chrysler Obsolete) where I picked up my ordered parts. Also drove past Kraig at the Chopper Gallery in Temecula (once again nearly bought a few Harleys....) and then made the final drive back to Del Mar. A fun, but exhausting day.

What the pic doesn't show is that I'm wearing massive high heels.:D:D:D

It was not quite that bad. I knew most of the crew, so they seated us in business class...... so it was a very relaxing flight.

    Thanks Rock!

Thank you plmczy. Yes they do have a website, www.atlaschrys.com. Or call Mark, he's a great and knowledgable guy. Also told him to become an alliance vendor, great for us and him...
