Your problem may not be springs, could be your suspension is binding because of the ladder bars. Does your rear axle float on the springs? If not thats your problem most likely. Problem then is your tires will start hitting the fenders as close as they are right now, you may need to put leafs back in.

Me and the boy will be there :) we are hoping to take our 61 wagon up this year. We will probably have to trailer it up as it is a piece of crap right now. We are working on the brakes i am letting my boy do a lot of the work.

This car used to belong to my buddy Frankie Calabro. I was about 5 years old when Frankie, my dad, my uncle, and I went to go and pick it up from the previous owner. It used to race on Long Island and there was a 40 or 41 pickup that matched it when it was red with the white scoop. The pickup was tubbed at IRS Racecars on Long Island. The picture you have when it was red, is when it was sitting at my parents house in our driveway around 1984. I'm assuming that you're the person that bought it from Frankie, because when he sold it, it looked like the second picture. Just so you know, I used to play in that car when it was at our house. I've always wanted to buy that car from Frankie, but I never had the money to pay him for it.

It is awesome to finally see her go to a better home. I have been staring @ her over the fence for years. I believe there was an Anglia and a t-bucket within the property too.

  27. This eventually became my dad's car. This car belonged to "Big" Jim Hasse of S&K Speed in New York. The car was out of Long Island and toured the east coast with the Jack Merkel cars. My dad bought it from Jim Hasse in 1979 I believe. He sold it in 1980 or 1981. He has pictures of me as a toddler in the car. This is how the car looked when my dad bought and sold it. He kept the name on the car because the silver-leaf was too nice to take off, but he told me that the guy that bought it from him took it off. We'd still like to know where the car is today if anyone knows.

I remember when your father got that car, because it popped my bubble. I heard it was for sale, and by the time i heard about it, and had someone that knew them call, your father had already gotten it.
