G´day! We have a plan flying to Brisbane from Finland in July. Is there any car shows,cruisings etc in that time? We also looking for some lower/middle priced apartments,hotel,motel or hostel for 12-14 days from nearby Surfers Paradise beach. All hints are more than welcome Internet is full of various accommodations,but its really hard to choose from those,if you dont never been there before.At all in whole Australia And of course if you know the bars and/or pubs where the local rodders hangin,please let me know PM´d me Cheers!! -Joni
A few car hang outs around Brisbane on Friday and Saturday nights. Great place with great people. We love our cars as well. Plenty to choose from but you need a car to get from the Gold Coast and we drive on the other side of the road. 1hr drive each way and then maybe a little extra to venue. You need a GPS. Q'LD IS THE BEST STATE, more cars being built here than anywhere else. That's why everyone is emigrating to South East Q'ld from all over Australia. Hopefully someone will chime in about affordable accommodation. You have the touristy things like Dreamworld, Wet & Wild water park and Seaworld to name a few destinations. Also Brisvegas has a lot to offer, no longer that cultural vacuum. Don't forget the Gold Coast Hinterland as well.
Hey Joni greazefest kustom kulture weekend is on at the rocklea show ground in brisbane on around the 4th of august,if you get a spare couple of days head to byron bay good bars and pubs down that way,good luck,Aidan
I know its not Brisbane,..however if you want to head a bit further south Motor ex is on in Sydney,..check it out at http://www.motorex.com.au/ there is something for almost everyone there. Enjoy your trip!

That well worth staying for, one of the better shows. I live only 15 min from surfers paradise. Surfers paradise is aimed at young party people.
Thanks for all! mgtstumpy; I dont think so that RHD is problem, aussie traffic cant be so big h***les like in Thailand Sad thing is that we have to fly back end of July,so we cant go to greazefest Sydney is also little too far in this time,your country is so f***n BIG But we will check out others and it would nice to meet someone of you guys and take couple of pints, if our timetables fits togheter.
