Thanks guys. It is a 47 COE I mounted on a 1990 Chevy 1 ton dump truck chassis. I shortened the new chassis to 106 inch wheel base. Powered by a 1982 Corvette 350 /with a Turbo 400 tranny. The engine is set back about 30 inches from is stock location, so it is now under the seat. This kept all the floor pans stock and un-cut. I made the bed. It is 7 1/2 ft. The rear fenders are from a pickup truck that I made 6 inches wider and 4 inches taller to keep them in proportion with the frt fenders, cab etc. Has power steering, hydro-boost brakes, and runs and drives like a "new truck".
It is a blast to drive, and it puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it.

I'm impressed with your Merc. Guessing it is cut about 8" and 10" ? The little truck you sold with the under-slung chassis was nicely done also. Nice work.

Just someone else's opinion. Don't take it personal. We all like things a little different than the next guy.

I didn't take it personal at all, just a question. Its always hard to convey tone over a keyboard. Sorry, I don't want to start any drama on terds thread so on with the pics.

I love your truck, I love seeing it and reading about it, it's so cool and perfect in execution, those rear fenders especially, but I can never get past you putting all that work and effort into it and using those cheap ugly modern plastic roof lights and tail lights. Do you have any plans for changing them?

    I do! :D

Are they hard to find in the US? Because I see a lot of trucks getting a lot of attention to detail, and then they get some boat lights and pep boys cab lights instead of vintage stuff... to each their own of course because people have their preferences.

What style are you looking for? What colour?

Here is my '37 Ford. Still running great with a flatty V8. I have a small collection of vintage bicycles that I load in the back for shows or just going out for a litle pedal time.

My 37 Chevy custom designed kingcab pickup. Mounted on an S-10 chassis and running a small block drive train. Functional and fun all the way.
