HELP<HELP<HELP ! I have a 49 shoebox that I've converted to ball joint upper and lower A arms and disc brakes and am having problems with the calipers not releasing after driving a few miles ! The master is a 1" Corvette style with a 7" 2 stage booster ,a new proportioning valve ,rebuilt calipers and new pads. Any ideas about why the calipers are hanging up ? Thanks for any Ideas you can offer ! John .

First, I would be sure there is master cylinder pushrod "free play", so the cylinder returns completely when the pedal is released.

  4. How many calipers are hanging up? If its just one then I would look at the slides for binding or the piston not retracting or possible internal swelling of the rubber line. If its both then powdercoater46 has the right idea.Something in the master cylinder of linkage. If you have residual valves I would also look at that.
