My reasoning was it looked like where the fender mounted was closer to the front of the bed like a 32, than 33-4; could be just the picture....your probably right though ....either way, it looks like a good piece.

Like Chris said............. '33/4 bed. It has a hole for the gas filler because the tank was under the bed. '32 had a gas tank under the right seat.

^ It takes dedication to let a car sit like that in Hawaii.

Oh yeah. Those have been sitting in Kaimuki for a very long time. I thought they were fiberglass bodied at first because they weren't turning to a pile of rust as fast as I thought they should be.

NICE SAVE!!! Can´t go wrong w/a 1960 Camino! Is that a Nomad STW aluminum trim-panel swapped in on the tailgate cove or just silver paint? Can´t really see it that well from here.

This is on Craigslist for sale as a "restoration" project. I'm not sure there is enough to restore.

    that nomad,what a shame

  13. That's got to be one of the saddest auto-related sights I've ever seen.

  14. Unusual to see the roof skin rusted away like that. Not a builder, but a good parts car with lots of pieces unique to the Nomad, or with the roof skin rusted off like that, I wouldn't feel too bad about making an phantom '55 El Camino out of it.

This Olds was sitting in an old wrecking yard. They wanted $150 for it. I didn't have the space for it. A month later new owners cleared out anything old. Still breaks my heart.

Sorry for the late post, But yes it is here in the KC area, Just a few blocks from where I grew up. I personally will not go back down there As the Old man warned me, to stay off of his property, Truthfully where it is sitting I think that property belongs to the railroad, But either way I am not taking any chances, We mushroom hunt that property all the time, And maybe I could get some good shots of it with a good cam lens from a safe distance. When the old fucker dies I plan to hit the new owners of the house up about it. It is certainly not a car worth fixing as it has been down there upside down for way to many years. But it is one of americas finest examples of automobilia. I mean for a classic it is tough to beat a 57 chevy convertible.

We were there two years ago and saw all of that guys stuff. Pretty amazing the things he has "collected" over the years. My wife said "Our yard would look like that if I let you get everything you want." I couldn't deny that. Lots of great iron up there to restore.

Not everything he has is in that much disrepair. He has a lot that is running also. Did you see his handbuilt Studebaker open wheel race car? That thing was cool. He fired it up for us and it sounded great!

Gentleman, I could take you to three different places in NC and SC that would break your hearts to the point of crying... until you learned that they are all for sale, most for under a grand or so. EVERYTHING needs work (like, a lot), but I can tell you that they are ten times closer to being rollers than they are to being rot. I'm road-tripping to one tomorrow, I'll be sure to take tons of pics. The two pics below were taken at the place I will be tomorrow...

This was sitting in a barn near Troy, MO. The guy who has it is into Plymouths only. When I asked him if he is going to do anything with it his comment was "Nah - it's just a Ford". Of course he won't let go of it either.
