Hey guys. Me and a couple of buddies are headed to SoCal for the first time next week. I know the Wally Parks museum, Mooneyes, and So-Cal Speed Shop are no brainers, what else can you guys think of that a Hot Rod guy has to see while they're there?

Everything will be different, they talk funny too. "freeways" will blow your mind, very aggressive drivers. have a good time and enjoy some good Mexican food

On 3/31 there's a Rockabilly show in Claremont. On 4/7 there's a very good car show in LaVerne. Don't forget the Petersen Museum in LA .... and the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar.

Donut Derilicts car show in Huntington Beach, CA. at Adams and Magnolia Ave on Saturday Mornings from 5:30AM to 8:30AM. Best free car show on the West coast. Trust me it's worth the drive and getting up early to see.

Besides the burgers and shakes at Bob's you MUST eat a Mega-Combo from Tommy's.

don't miss the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris ,
at Lunch Time head to the Bomb Shelter Restaurant at the Perris Air Field, just across the back yard
... at lunch time , you can watch the sky divers While you feast on a gourmet Burger
*The Chef is the best for 10 miles in any direction because they get

I was there last Nov. I stopped by Mooneyes and they were very cool and gave me a tour. Great people. Peterson's was kind of a letdown. They had a bunch of electric cars and scooters. Not my cup of tea. Plus a Nissan YUCK!!!!! I didn't see much for old cars or rods. Thought I would see a lot more. Good time though. Have fun!

Visit the NHRA museum next Wed night. One of the best Afternoon/evening cruises on the planet - parking lot in front of the musuem fills with everything from Gassers to billet rods to customs, and admission to the museum is free that night.

  25. If you are ever able to eat again after Tommy's and In and Out, ( I highly recommend both!) Slip over to Burbank and take a seat at the Coral cafe. Damn good food and a huge menu. If you make So. cal speed shop, Walden's is a few blocks away. After that, Walton's is about a 10 min. drive.
