I sure hope this truck wasn't part of the chocolate business in the background, as it would be one huge turd of a delivery truck. Anyone know more about Sillito's? Gary

Looks like it says something like "...loaf" on the cowl. The box does look a bit like a bread loaf.

I know quite a few coupes (and roadsters) got this conversion, but this is the first time I saw a pic showing the actual job being done.

    Thanks.

    Mart.

This one has me puzzled. Some of the oil cans I can identify are (1) Havoline, (2) Gulflube, (3) Sinclair, (4) Esso, (5) Texaco and (6) Quaker State. From the pumps it appears to be a Texaco station. Hard to believe they sold these other brands. I know when I was a kid working at an Esso station it was the kiss of death to have any other product but Esso around.

Wow. Very cool picture. Old time sleeper cab with team drivers. Uniformed pump attendant with the official hat. Back in the mid '60's, I remember the glass bottles with the cool spouts contained 'remanufactured' oil that sold for 25 cents per quart. I went through plenty in the heaps I drove back then. "Fill it up, and check the gas." :D
