I ran a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I just picked up a 1948 Chevrolet Aerosedan Fleetline that might need a new frame. If it does, I was wondering what other years and models would interchange? I'm not looking to do a late model swap. I think all car frames from 1946-1948 are the same regardless of model. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks in advance.
I am guessing that all the Chevrolets had the same frame, but think all the other GM cars had longer wheelbases.
Thanks. One more question. What about the front seat? Are they they same in all chevrolet cars from these years too?
Sets would just need to be from a two door. Back seats in 55-57 chevys differ from 2 door to 4 door, so that may be an issue in the older cars as well.
46 thru 48 are the same as I remember. Should be an easy swap. I too, have a 48 Aero tudor. Am missing the 3 lower stainless pieces for each of the front fenders. If know of anyone that has some for sale or trade, would like to buy them. Good luck on yours!! I had one when I was in HS in the 50s. Thanx, Dave
