Very nice Box truck. A pitty you dont see them very much.
Is it becouse the box is just for someting else when the truck retires?

I have a question for all you guys building these trucks. What are you using for ***les? Are you ***eling them with the new ch***is or with the body? Seem as most I see for sale are no ***les. I live in Illinois and got involved in a no ***le car one time and will never do it again. Still not sure if I am off the States radar yet!

Always use original vins and ***les. of course some states are harder to work with in that regard.

If police do a check, they will be comparing the VIN to the easiest to find number. This is probably the id of the body. Newer models display this on the dash, visible through the windshield. I am not sure when this started. If you use a newer ch***is and remove the body, the vin is on the body parts you sent to the crusher. There is probably a serial number on the ch***is also, but I doubt anyone is going to climb under the truck to find it. If you replaced a frame due to a wreck or something, it wouldnt't match anyway.

This was my inspiration to build a COE. Long live "Lenny Pike"! That is why I had to have a '53' with a box.

Heres my 1950 Chevy that I bought here in Sweden a week ago. Only rust on the whole COE is in the cab corners. Really straight cab and sometime in the past the ch***i has been stretched so it has got a 5,5 meter bed. (not sure how much in feet)Thanks for a really nice thread!

Nice find, from Montana I see, I love getting stuff from Montana as it almost always seems to be in nice shape!

5.5 Meters is about 18 feet.

Wow! That is just pure ART at its finest. I've been following your build and just love that truck.
What size tires are you running?
What type of Bed will you have on the truck?
Keep up the great work and THANKS for posting your build!

18 feet is perfect for a flat deck or angled deck car hauler in my opinion, that's going to be a great build!

Do you have a build thread for your truck?

Thought I would post a few pics of my long suffering project. I don't think I am more particular, it just takes me longer to do anything. Anyway, getting closer. Plans are for an awning and some creature comforts for the cruises and swaps.

FWIW...I finally got my Pete outside to see the sky for the first time in like 4 years...so it's finally a roller now.

    Thank you!
Maybe I will, I´m pretty new here at the H.A.M.B. and have never made a thread before.
I am from south Sweden near Ystad and Malmö.
    I will enjoy building.
I have seen your COE on the internet several times, it´s really cool! You have inspired me to want one!

Got to see a rare 1948 MACK crewcab being restored here yesterday. Did not have a camera so no photos but will try to get some as it is restored.
