Nothing attracts a crowd like a crowd. Over 640 people have asked to be added to our email reminder list: wed love for every one who knows about the swap meet to make a special effort to make it to our April show. The swap meet was growing nicely last year, and with the new, much better facilities of the Atlanta Dragway, a big turn-out in the beginning of the season would really set a precedent, showing everyone what the swap meet is capable of being, and would carry through for the whole season. 2012 Dates: April 7 May 12 June 9 July 7 August 4 September 1 October 6 November 3 If you'd like to be added to our email reminder list, send me a note at brad56@windstream.net If you would like some fliers to p*** out, put out at your shop, or put on your table at other swap meets and events you attend, please send us your mailing address and the number of fliers you would like, and well drop some in the mail. I'm making my plans to be there bright and early. BTW,,this venue is about 30 miles closer to me. HRP
DAMN but that was satisfying! Best show we've had in years. I can't say enough about the venue, and the management there helping promote the show. We had a full house today, and we're looking at how we'll set up next month for more room. Hot damn! -Brad
Couldn't make it out there this time, hopefull for next month. Did anyone get a picture of the crowd or set up they can post so everyone can get an idea of the size of your swap meet? Might go a long ways toward getting more people out there next month. Hoping to bring a heaping trailer of stuff next month, mostly Ford parts.
I'm a total idiot... I brought my camera, walked up to the top of the grandstands to get a good over-all shot, raised the camera, sighted it in, pushed the ****on and... nothing. Looked at the info screen, and it says "No CF Card" I left the memory card at home on the desk. DAMMIT! I haven't felt so stupid since I shot an entire tech article and realized after that I forgot to put film in the camera. Next month, I'll definitely have a functioning camera. -Brad
Regrettably,,I won't be able to make it next month but I can ***ure anyone that this is a first cl*** event with a lot of vendors, Brad probably did a vendor head count but I'm gonna guess that there were between 60 to 70 and the spectators and the vendors were buying! The new location is level and paved which is a plus. BTW,,,I had my camera and never took it out of the truck! HRP
Final vendor count was just shy of 100! (counting me and Mac The Yankee) You were right about people buying--I really don't have many parts, just some odd tools, knick-knacks and magazines, and went home with a lot less of it! The guys around me were all real happy too. -Brad
