Alright guys,... I know I have seen these tail lights before,... but for the life of me I can't remember what they came off of,.... These tail lights are on an old B/SR Model A I have....... There not just a rectangle as one side has an angle to it.

So,.... what the heck are they ?????

What are the markings along the edge of the glass ? I don't know what they are, but it's a nice clean look.

The Nash is close,.. but it's angled on both ends. and the housing looks like it might have a curve to it,... These are flat.

Looks like something off an AMC, from the 70's, can't remember which one I saw something similar on, but when I saw it, AMC popped into my head...

It has glass lenses and they have been on this car sense the 50's,.... so I don't think AMC is a fit. But thanks for trying.

Here is the car with the tail lights in 1957.

  11. No idea as to what it is, but I have the feeling that they originally sat 90 degrees off of how they are now.

You could go to that auction site and just type in 1938-48 + car make Tail Lights and by the end of the evenung have the answer. Bob

Shape is close,.. but my tail light has a flat lens and a 42 Stude is really bulbous.

I went about 25 pages deep in the Ebay vintage parts tail light section and no go there.
Sexton is probably the company that made the lens. That could be From the UK instead of the states too.

    Does sound foreign...

earlier, I was thinking it was something real oddball, like an Austin Bantam delivery or ? I wonder if those "american" Austins used parts from England.

who's the English major here? :) what country of origin would the surname Sexton come from? England, or Norwegian country?
