I bought this truck summer of 2010 In MooseJaw Saskatchewan. I had been looking for about a year for a project car/truck that had a solid platform to work with for a cheap price. After about a years of looking and walking away from prospect projects due to prices I came across this one for $700 complete bumper to bumper.

Last summer my dad(who is retired) and i tore the truck down to the bare frame. A buddy of mine's dad picked up the complete original drivetrain axles and all for his IHC truck. I got rid of the rear fenders and box and brought home the frame and front cab, fenders, hood, and nose.

next step was the planning and designing the rear frame rails to fit the stance and suspension, wheel tire setup that I was thinking of. After designing my framerails.....I had them cut on CNC plasma table.

This is the front clip that I will be using for the truck. It comes out of a 2003 Ford Crown Vic. The clip has 34 inches between the mounting rails but the truck only has 30" . But the WMB is measured at 15 3/4 inches from the outside of the framrail which gives it a real nice look. the front tire is not too buried into the wheel well.

looks like a good start I like the mockup with the front sitting low over the rim alone. should be good when its finished.

where and why in Iowa when is says your in PA?

  14. Hey redzula my truck is at a buds house. I bought it of the 'bay about 90 miles north of his place and had it delivered there. Now I just need to either get it and build it or turn it loose so someone else could finish it. He is in Waukee, just west of Des moines off I-80

Mine is a 48 KB1 shortbed with a 383 chev and a 350 trans. with a 325 9". Those trucks were madw for conversions the way the firewall dips in and the room between the frame rails. It looks like your project is comming right along-----looks good, real good.
