Had to reverse passenger side defrost boot in order to fit tube to trans. Will attach a 90-degree elbow later so duct will enter from cowl side (like drivers side).

Cut cable to proper length and grease the shit out of it.

Figure out your wiper sweep angle and mark corresponding hole:

Sure hope the damn thing works. We did have to play around with the transmission orientation to make sure they turned in opposite directions as the cable made a pass. So we know we have that right. Also checked to make sure that the first move when the motor turns on will be to sweep up, not down. Think we're OK.

Or, at least, the second time. I have made some real bonehead moves, only to realize later that it is ass-backward or some such. Thanks.

Have been following your build from day one, but I have never posted to say what a great build thread. Don't worry about the mistakes, it happens to everyone, even the pros.

that looks like the same unit they used in the amsoil, street rodder project 55. Speaking of I need to do something like this instead of relying on rain X wipes. lol

Installed gas pedal. Used floor mount so that cable does not exit firewall (exits toe board).

  18. Brer, been following your build since the start and have to commend you on the work you are doing, good job. Are you going to put grommets where those wires run though the bracket?

Nice job on your build. I put a 95 LT-1 4L60e combo in my 41 Chevy and used a Detail Zone kit installed in the trunk with no problems. It helps I am a GM Tech with 30+ years experience also. One thing you might keep in mind is that if these EFI engines sit for a long period of time, the injectors may not work when you go to start it. Had three dead ones on my engine, which only had 27k on it but had been sitting for several years. If you ever need any help don't hesitate to PM me.

You know, thank God I've got y'all watching my back. Duh . . . I get it. Which means I'll have to pull the 20 ft. of wire back out and drill larger holes. Thanks guys. Can you tell this is my first build?

Looks good Buddy! Mine looked real good, too, until I dumped the clear on it. :(

Yep JJ, you'll no doubt be hearing from me before it's all over. I especially like the 30+ years' experience part! Thanks for chiming in.

    Thanks Dave! ^^^^

Guess I've logged about 8 hrs total in the garage since my last post. So much for averaging 15 hrs/wk. Work and life, you know.

    Edit: OT engine stuff.

Finally stuck the mill back in. Of course, had to fish the wiring bundle down the frame rail conduit as it went in. Will wrap exposed wires later.

    Edit: OT pics
