^ I just ADORE the paint on it. Too bad on this unit; it was done by a company in Rome, Italy. I wish I knew of someone that can replicate this, as I really want this done. Just looks brilliant.

Sorry for the late response. Just saw this.

Anyways I did what 58 depala described first. You just have to make sure the lace is pulled tight, and the bottom layer of tape is on good. I have some pictures of masking the tank off, i'll try to find and upload them.

Love this old Nash gasser that turns up at local hot rod/custom shows every year.

Wish I had better pic's - lots of lace paint, tape and string technique, and "blow" paint...

Dude, I want to get it done and show it to you soooo bad. But as fate would have it just as I get ready to finish it my house needs a roof.

Sorry to hear about the house needing a roof. Watching the progress on the 55, it will be worth the wait.

Not as sorry as me dude. I'm most likely going to have to sell my Corvette to pay for it. In excess of $10,000. ouch

Ive been watching this thread for some time now, decided i needed to do something to contribute. I did these in the last couple days. Sorry they are OT for this forum but i wanted to do something small as this is my first attempt at flake and pinstripe, also dont have a roof that currently needs painting.

Dude, that looks like a rendition of the HOK (House of Kolour) Scarab Beetle. And I mean in a flattery way.
