  13. When I was a kid, I'm 63 now, I used to tag around with my dad in the "wrecking yards". In those days, they really were wrecking yards, I remember the occasional broken out windshield with hair still in it, and blood on seats.
    I'm still a bit uneasy in a salvage yard. :(

    I grew up in the late 50' and 60's on a busy US Highway right between two towing services. I got to see every wreck that happened within 15 miles in either direction. By the time I got in Driver's Ed. in 1970 I was pretty much immune to the "shock" movies like Signal 30 and Blood on the Highway. It didn't slow me down a bit though. Now that I'm older and painfully aware of my own mortality I flashback to those wrecks every time I roll the Stude out of the driveway. I'm not fearful when I drive it but I'm definitely on full alert.
