A little bit of a drive but not bad. That's the only draw back to small towns, not enough hotels. See you there.

    oh.....
    no.....
I thought we shook those New York guys.................
    ha
Ed - be SURE to show up for the Friday night shindigs - it is the highlight of the weekend in my mind.
Seeing all the vintage bikes and cars actually going out on the track is what is truly unique for our event.
And of course on Sat....I expect you to get some Iowa dirt in the wheels to take back to Long Island!

I am unable to either deny or confirm any rumors of her being there.

I can tell you fer sure that Mike will be showing his Von Dutch XAVW motorcycle.
And Dave Ohrt (one of the guys that has been on the Pickers) will be showing his Moondog motorcycle and possibly another historic chopper.

  16. coolstuff,

    Brett4christ - I have PM'd you

UPDATE - camping - all electric spots are sold out - and if you want to guarantee a spot - I strongly urge you to call and reserve a spot.
I suspect about Friday night they will be full up.
Maybe not - but it is best to reserve and be guaranteed a spot then get there thinking there will be plenty of space and the whole campground is full.
    Call Lanny at
    563-652-4282
she is the contact at the Fairgrounds.

Also - there is an ATM on site.
We hope everyone is excited about the show..........
    we are!

Anyone going to be staying at the Super 8? I can only come up saturday...and I have to trailer my truck up, and being that the trailer parking by the show will be filled, Im looking around on google maps of other places to park my trailblazer and trailer for the day where it will be fine all day. I figured there would be lots of people staying there, just wondering if anyone thinks there will be room for me to come park out for the day...

We are at 403 pre registrations.
We are humbled by everyone's generousity.
Thanks to everyone that has done this. It helps the show out more than you know.
    Last year 335 pre registered.
We had a total of 545 entered over the 2 days.
If this same percentage keeps up - we will have around 700 entries!!!
    That is amazing.
In addition we will have the Coronados Classic and Chrome Section which will have another 100+ vehicles. Last year they had about 100 cars....so this year we suspect they will have at least that many.
    And
Dont forget they are having a pre party on Thursday night on Main Street Maquoketa!

  23. you gettring any worthy motorcycles?? i see i got 3 trophies on the shelf 40 year old must be time to send em home with someone???

Vik - YES - we have some amazing bikes showing up. Some real pieces of history rolling in.
Bring the trophies - but make sure you tell people that the trophies you are presenting are from YOU.
    NOT the show.
We do not award official trophies.
We encourage car clubs to make thier own trophies - and this will be clear to the public that it is one clubs idea of what is cool. NOT the show.
    Thanks

Here's another option for camping. Central Park in Jones County. They have electric and primitive camping spots. The park is 30 miles from Maquoketa.
