  3. Hey Steve , hows it going ? Its to bad that old Mopar truck is taking so much of the buildtime away !!! My time will dry up pretty good for a while now that the better weather is here . Oh well it was a productive winter . Did you get to the treasureyard this weekend ? If so you didn't see any 51 , 52 Buicks there by any chance did you ? Andy...

Nah it was pretty much all mid late 60's to late 70's,:( found a good tinted w/s for my 64 Pont that I will go back for, there was a really sad 54 Meteor glasstop it might be usable to convert a solid 4 door...I will try and get some pics up tonight...and I am totally tired of this damn truck lol! On the plus side I did get a 46 Ford pick up project offered to me for free!

  5. How many projects can one man have LOL !!! As many as the wife will allow I suppose !!!

The wallet is more the deciding factor than she is....she's weird compared to most wives, she gets mad when I sell stuff, as opposed to when I drag stuff home! She hasn been able to find a job though and things are beyond tight now so I am gonna do a bit of work to the 51 Chevy then it has to go up for sale :( ...unless I win the lotto ....

  7. Well man I cant say I havent done that a time or two in my life as well . Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do . Later . Andy..

I know what you mean Steve, after 8 months of busting ass on my '51 F1 I had to sell it in order to take care of family matters. You gotta take care of the family first. (Not losing much sweat over the F1 though, after all it did have a Chevy motor in it.:D)

Ya I know...doesnt mean I have to like it though lol! I dont mind sellin stuff to re-invest it in more stuff!

I have a hard time being optomistic about shit like this...cant help it too much crap has happened to me over the years, not that alot of it isnt my own fault but I get really stressed about this shit,my credit rating is takin a shit kicking, and my mortgage is due next summer....if its still shitty by then I might be up shit creek without the paddle!

She hasnt had much choice...no kids for 4 months now at least and pretty sporatic for the last couple of years...I started stressing about this 2 yrs ago, but she didnt seam to listen to me...She has a job interview tonight prolly only min wage but its supposed to be for 40 hrs/week, hopefully something works out with it...

Maybe I should build something with a Ford motor, might have better luck lol! When I think about the family it doesnt bother me as much, unfortunately my brother got all the financial smarts in the family, I am just an idiot when it comes to money  .....might have been better off if I was not into this car thing lol!

Oh contrare Senor! You might have more money, true, but better off? Methinks not. Money is important, sure, but money comes and money goes . . . '47 Fords last a long time. :D

Oh yea, and you can't take it with you. You better enjoy the ride!

The flatty was r/b and was never really run much, he had it running last summer, the cab is too nice to be from around here, the frame is pretty nice too....the rest of the stuff that comes with it is kinda rough but there is quite a bit of stuff...plus he said he has a nice hood in the basement....

That truck isn't gone far enough though for you though. Maybe you could turn it into a 3 Window coupe.

Question is, when it the new "shop truck" gonna be done so you can get back to the main thing......?

I'm thinking he's gonna get the "shop truck" together in order to build the Merc Ranchero that will haul parts for the 47 Ford with the Mercury grill that would look good in the shop truck hauling the parts for the Merc Kustom with the '50 grill...I'm so confused!!!! :D

    Kool,
I must say you are renewing, what most probably would have crushed. I commend your hard work and skill. You have the patience of Job. Keep up the good work. I saw something about S-10 in earlier post, you still going that direction? Still going flathead? Take care.

Haha I spent too much time thinkin about it already ! Problem is I cant think of a solid plan for it, low modern susp, build it with stock suspension, upgrade to newer motor/trans /rearend, try and re-assemble it with all the orig stuff...give me some ideas guys !!

Feel free Eli, I need ideas for this thing!

It would be nice for a change lol! The dodge? I have had it for years...she was gettin soft in a few places if I decide to sell it at least it wont have any rust on it, heres a link to a few pics of what I have been up to for the last few weekends...

    http://s940.photobucket.com/albums/ad241/koolkemp/Dodge pickup/

It confuses me at times as well , but thats a good descrription of how my brain works when I think about putting something together with aal the junk I have :D

Thanks! Ya its stayin on the s10, too much work to undo and I dont have a chassis, if I had found the coupe 1st I would have used the orig chassis for sure...I dont really care, its a custom, not a hotrod. A long term goal though is to fit a vintage OHV V8 someday....just to really confuse people!

I got a few things done for the 47, mixed too much primer workin on the truck, so I finished cleaning up the inside of the pass door and got it primed...

And test fitted some new bling ..If any of you are farmiliar with geoking on here, and the build for his awesome phantom 3 window

He mentioned a while back in the thread that he had a pair of repop doorhandles for half price...thenhe could only find one of them so I said just let me know if you do...fast forward a while and it shows up, I sent him my info to get me a cost for shipping and I would get some money to him ASAP. Well to make a long story short he just dropped them in the mail, then wouldnt take any money ..Early Christmas he called it :) Its nice to find out that there are still some good people out in this world ! Funny but I have met some of the best people through the HAMB . I know its a bit premature but heres a mock up of the new bling

Ya got that right brother! So have you slept since you did the deal on the Falcon:rolleyes: somehow I think it has occupied your brain since then ! Ther used to be a 62 I think, sedan delivery falcon that was astreet racer back in the day in Ottawa, 2 tone brown panel paint, chromed straight axle ,sbc , white fenderwell hedders ,diamond pleat interior, it was cool.I found it in a junkyard when I was in High School, it just wasnt a feasible project for me back then...if I had the skills then that I have now I would have been all over it!
