Hey, i was wondering what kind of rims/wheels those are.. Racing wheels with ball bearings by any chance?? thanks
Can someone i .d.my new bike. I'm thinking k&s but not sure. It looks like Someone cut off the jack shaft bracket at sometime.
Thank you, that looks just like it. I dug out an engine last night, just need a seat and a few small bits.
Does it hurt? Because you have been BITTEN!!! Come on over to www.oldminibikes.com and enjoy the fun!
I think the blue one is a Bird, the one grey with the odd front wheel might be a Manco. The Second grey one has a wide engine plate and fold up pegs.
Yep, blue one is Bird or Penneys, grey with green bars looks to be a Fox - Does the engine plate get wider at the front? Other 2 look to be Manco
My fully restored 1967 Taco 22 with a brand new 3 1/2 horse Briggs is for sale. But with what tacos are bringing now, I haven't bothered to post it here. For some reason Tacos are bringing stupid money now.
Well, my mini (post#785) has gone away to much greener pastures in the far away land of Norway... I had just unloaded it from the back of Elpolacko's truck at Round Up in Austin when Ole walked up and asked "how much?" I told him it wasn't for sale and what I thought was a rediculous price, and he went away... An hour later he came back with cash in his hand! Damn!!! I loved my mini ! And it truly wasn't for sale, but I did get some satisfaction in the fact that he left our booth, rode two booths up, bought a matching gold glitter helmet and a half hour later was entered into the races! He didn't do so well, but I saw him all weekend riding around the grounds and having a good time, often with a little girl riding the front of the seat. Fun will be had in another land! So good luck Ole with smuggling that home in everybody's bags, and enjoy and love my little friend as much as I have!
Oh, and I might add, now I have to figure out which one to build next... I only have about ten to choose from!
need louvers ? I looked at that bike for too. That's a cool bike, and cooler that you gave it up for a fellow hot rodder and mini-bike fanatic that would have difficulty locating and shipping it overseas. The price was right on, considering the paint job, nice seat, built 5hp Briggs, and the two Astro's. I'd say he got a great deal. He was smiling ear-to-ear! Ain't that what it's all about! Good times!
Thanks Loppy! I felt a bit bad because the paint was chipped up here and there... I have ridden that bike more than most adults would actually ride a mini bike. But he sure looked happy to be runnin' around on it, and besides, it was time to build something else for me anyway! I'm diggin' your twin engined bike big time and looked for the pictures posted on this thread today but didn't find 'em. Could you repost so that I can do the "right click, save" deal? It was good to meet you last weekend!
