Style #2 looks better and seem to work better with the angle of the rear bow or back panel creates. With #1 the curved window opening and rear panel angle seem to clash.

I really like the second one.. It looks more like a hot rod that way.

I like the looks of roof #2. Depending on the seats and the driver's size, I think the cut-back in #2 will also give you a better view - left to right panorama-wise at stop lights and intersections - so you may not have to keep leaning forward in the saddle to check out crossing traffic. Gary

 

lookin good corey- my vote is #1 on the top. it will be way easier to make a side curtain fit on there too. i dont know how you would make a curtain work on the second one.... hmmm....

why does 2 make it look chopped more

 

I think the longer opening allows the edge to taper lower towards the back, so it plays a trick on your eye..

Part of the reason why I dig it.

 

#1 does it for me.

 

Incredible build!!! I like top number 2,-but for my 2 cents, I think the top of the window opening needs to be more parallel with the top of the door, if you get what I'm saying. GREAT JOB CORY!!!!!!

My opinion really isn't worth much, but I like tape top #2 better... much better.

I like number 1 as it makes the car look like the early tops of Bob McGee and others. Here are a couple we have done on a 3 inch chopped windshield.

 

Gotta go with number 1. It's in the Veda Orr style of top!

Number One does look more 1940s hot rod, but I like Number Two better.

 

Oh yeah! And side curtains would not be that bad to mount as long as they only attached to the doors. Who knows, they might even seal better or spit water on your face less with the back edge further behind the door latches. Gary

 

#1 idea fits your roadster a lot better than idea #2 I think.

YES on #1.
I like the side window curve same as trunk curve.
The Orr top is perfect I think.........cw.

 

I bought 4 rolls of the cheapest masking tape that Lowe's had.....the only bad thing is that you can't get a full piece off the roll (without it tearing) for the first couple of revolutions.

 

Well, I'm going with the #1 side profile - the Orr or Lee style side window.

I laid out a couple of back windows today. I'm leaning towards #2. I like the look of the lower height (pretty much matches the smallest part of the windshield), and the extra width makes the top look less heavy in the corners.

Agreed. I used a '37 rear window from Labarron Bonney.... makes it a lot more user friendly

 

Top # 1 definitely looks the part on your roadster as well as rear window # 2. Awesome looking roadster!
