Top #1 and window #2 are my choices. Top #1 compliments the radius of the rear quarter. Window 2 compliments the low profile of the car. Awesome project! JMHO.
Bardahl1 - I think we're talking about the same window, though LeBaron Bonney's website doesn't list that specific window. The one I mocked up in #2 is 4 15/16" x 24 3/4" (according to the site anyway). I'm going to call them tomorrow to make sure the outer frame is stainless, and the inner is chrome since it's not real clear in their description. And you're roadster is nice.....I've always liked the profile it has. What tire sizes are you running?
That's the window. The tires in the pic are stock 18 wheels with Firestone 5.50 fronts and 7.00 STA SuperTransport rear Currently it has 40 steelies 16" with Firestones 6.00 front and 7.00 rear I have several sets of wheel tire combos
Hello Mr Hotrodswe, That car is just beautiful, I rarely write replies like this one preferring to talk about tech points etc, but I am just struck by the elegance and simplicity, please don't think I mean it was simple to acheive, now I'm getting "tongue tied" (finger tied?) Anyway, Beautiful, Thankyou, Best Regards Rick
Hi Cory......Yes I think Roy Brizio built that roadster and made the louver rear window, owner told me it really cut down the air turbulence in the cockpit.
I have no idea how I missed this thread !,... Arguably the best build ever on the HAMB (IMHO),.. Totally love this car,.. this was my all time favorite at Autorama. Such a awesome job !
We're real excited to have the interior done by the best.......a month from tomorrow we'll be landing in San Jose and getting ready to drive it down to LA.
I walked up and I was like, "Hmmm... This car really looks familiar?" Then Sid gave me the full run down on your plans! Too Cool! To see the car in person is really amazing. What a bitchin deal!
I've been getting some picture messages from Sid of the car.....and we can't wait to see it in person! Some of the photos he sent are below:
That interior is gorgeous.. It really suits the car well. I don't know about the mullet style top but, hey, whatever floats your boat.
Yes - we'll have it at LARS, driving it down from Sid's that week. Speaking of which, do you guys from California have anything you'd recommended to check out on the drive down from Santa Clara? He just sent this photo to me a few minutes ago....it looks like the car is pretty much done:
