Not a hoarder but have a block for sale, for those who are!!!!

  2. You are in luck , they are made right here in little old New Zealand !
Jimmy Keys runs ACE - he is a top bloke and would be more than happy to
    ship you a pair I'm sure .

    here is his site http://www.ace-customs.com/products.html
NOTE, the prices shown are in New Zealand dollars - Our dollar is at about 80 cents American at present so remember to make allowance for that (means you can take roughly 20% off the prices shown to get a rough conversion).

( His site is well worth a look , he makes all sorts of neat stuff , I have one of his dash inserts in my Model A project) .

You will see he also does a Bitchin Valley cover as well . ( yup , got one of them too!)

PM me if you need any help . Rod .

Just clarifying. After I posted yesterday, a friend with an accurate mike measured the brand new (NOS/NIB) TRW Ford Y-Block forged pistons. They are indeed for 292 displacement, though technically they appear to have been issued as .030-over 272 Y-Block replacement pistons. No big deal, but I try to be accurate. They are still for the 292 displacement.

Anyway, this spring and summer, I'll be a hoarder no more. These pistons, pins and NIB Hastings rings, along with a number of GM and MoPar items will be out my garage door and, hopefully headed for homes where somebody will put them to use, instead of stabilizing my garage floor!:D

Not taller... The Fentons don't taper in on the outside like the Bird ones... It's tight! I wouldn't want to break up the set anyways... I have enjoyed folks guessing on what motor I was using... The Bird covers make it way to easy

  12. Here is a friends project in progress , hope it helps

All I want is a goos et of ram horns for my 64 f-100. Hell a good used set of truck headers would do in a pinch..... Lol

  16. Im contemplating on letting mine go but it would depend on the offer and if I find some other headers to use.

Have had many assorted y block items over the years, edelbrock and offy valve covers, ramhorns, multiple intakes, etc. The picture attached is of my current hoard---assembled. Am enjoying the posts---keep it up.

I might mention that somebody with a 272 FoMoCo Y-Block could use these NOS pistons in my garage to upgrade a 272 to a 292. They are forged HD alloy TRW pistons (basically 272 + .030-over). I hadn't thought about it that way previously. This has been a cool thread because it got me thinking. What I'd bought to, possibly, use in my MoPar actually has two obvious uses in the Ford and Merc 272 / 292s.

    I have a few items.
First up a McCulloch pressure box for 3 2's. Top is shaped to fit behind scoop in little Thunderbird.

How it looked on my then daily driven '57 Courier..

I had set up a corner of the shop to display parts "speed shop" style. It looked pretty clean and tidy at one time, but now is very cluttered.

This picture shows the driver side match to the long tube header in the previous picture. The removable 2 center tubes wrap around the steering column for installation in a little bird. I have a picture some where of it in a '57. I will scan it and post here when I find it. Any one have any idea who the manufacturer may have been..

Edmunds I think. The Hilborns are hard to make work properly. Unless you only want it for shelf decoration :)
