Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by J.Fishbeck, Nov 10, 2011.

  1. No, I'm finishing up on the 57 Couch. I have been collecting the last of the stuff I need. Mufflers, starter & alternator. I can't wait to get back on it!

  2. Finished shaping the foam

  14. One Man Half Brain Brake Bleeder

I just need to tap and drill the brake bleeder screw, now. I need to install the new calipers & m/c on the 57.. so this is perfect timing now that I'm a one man band!

Jay as a fellow that also works by myself I enlist the aid of mean ol Mr. Gravity! Takes a while but I have had 100% results. I open all four bleeds, grab a beer (or 2 or 3 or 4) and sit back and relax (this is an end of the day task) and close them down as soon as weeping shows up.

  16. There is so much knowledge here on the HAMB. The gravity trick would work, I guess people don't use it since they need instant results to hurry and finish the job. I am going to try that sometime.

  19. I misremember where I put the pictures I originally snapped of the Johnny Gee alt brkt set up. Thought I'd share the new pics.

Found some old American Racing Equip Slot mags, Dad had stowed away. Great match for the A.R.E front runners I had caps machined for.

Damn Jay you work fast, looks good. I didn't need a laser for 6160 alum.

  23. Today I was wondering where you got that lite silver paint. Should've known it was aluminum!

looking at the Bond film clip, the laser cutting was actually done by a guy underneath the bench with an oxy acetelyne torch. It was apparently rather hot, as Sean Connery states in his biography.

  28. No worries? Easy for you to say!

So it ends up I do have that laser/oxy-acy

  29. Besides the .700" Crank Pulley Spacer & detail work, Alt Brkt is finished. Mock up pattern on the floor
