I'm building my 61 ford uni and I'm thinking of going back to the stock color (aqua marine). I'm just seeing if anybody else likes the idea. I'v done alot of work to the truck and I think it would be pretty cool to go back to the 1961 color.

I vote for you to ditch the wheels. Then paint it back to stock.
With those wheels you should do some realistic flames.

Any darker color you like would work but I would change the wheels. Gary

It would look nice aquamarine, if it had some springs

so far i think you got it just about right. the original color looked right for the times and i really like it.now about those wheels, they may not be politically or tradionally correct but i think they look great.

The truck is tubbed and set up for 18.5". I thought about widened steelies and and narrowed steelies up front.

    Stock colors can be fun...

Then BAM, took it up a notch, tons of pearl over the Sea Foam, and Abalone flake over all the white. Add flames..

Go for it, you can always take it to the next level if you like.

I'm a big fan of stock colors on modified cars, too, so my vote is for the aquamarine...

It's a pro-stock look so anything would be fine, especially lettering.

  19. Being you didn't ask about the wheels, i have no comment.
As to your question, I love the stock color and the lowered truck.
These style Fords are coming into their own now and I see one in town lowered and cream colored and I really like it.

  20. Damn, that looks good. Is that Seafoam actually Belmont Green? Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread...but I needs to know! :D

I like these out of the carnut choices with the exception of the wheels on the second two.

Aquamarine and white top on the cab .
Sell the wheels to a guy with a drag car ! Then buy some steelies and hubcaps that it came with .
Now get that truck off the ground and do it justice ! I think they look like shit dragging on the ground but that's me .
    Just my opinion !

  28. If anyone has the time, could you explain the draw and lure of having the rockers on the ground.
I just don't get it at all. I can appreciate the engineering behind it, it takes a fair amount of work and skills.
    But why ?

Aquamarine, and center yer' new traditional style wheels in the front opening.
Hey, you asked for opinions, so there you go...
I like yer' truck, keep on going with your vision.
