Wow! Fantastic fade job on those cad pulleys. That is the exact shade of blue I have been looking for. I have been searching through paint chip books trying find that color. Do you happen to know what the color is called (becides blue) or the car it comes on?

  8. okay... so i've painted a buncha bike sets and i painted my 52 chevy complete, but i still wanna know....

HOW THE HECK do you guys tape and paint the roofs on these these jobs??? are you all 8 feet tall or do you have a set of scaffolds or what?

  9. Yeah, they're all 8ft. tall Zombies with four arms that will eat your face off if you get too close.

Scaffoldings, milk crates, whatever you need. Trunk of your wifes car.

  11. Heh. That's what i figgered. at 5'7" i had to buy a set of utility scaffolds just to be able to reach the center of the roof on my 52 which was well lowered. even at that i had to use a little 'technique' to lay the clear in evenly. i'm imagining a catwalk or something like it for some of these jobs. ..

    BTW I am only 5'11"

Here's a couple pics of a Starlite Nomad at the Culver City Show and one of my Stude that is 'classic' but needs to be re-done. I've got champagne taste n beer money, anybody wanna practice their Watson styling skills on a massive canvas?

    White flake jobs anybody??
I have this idea of doin the whole car in white flake with 100% coverage, the one that resembles crushed glass, and then do some fades in a color flake on the hardest body lines w/ a lesser coverage so that the white is still visible under the color. mmh, yeah thats a fade, dooh!
Or mixin 20/30% of colored flake in the white flake to give it a pearl-a-like effect and do the whole thing w/out any accents.
    Whatcha say?

OK, that thing is wild! Lookin way better on the whites, and some recessed inserts on the grille would make it work even better, but i guess its your long time project. Lovin it.

Heavy flaked flames on this satin Merc
Heavy flamage on this Buick. These were all pretty incredible in person
