Event Coverage Atlas Speed and Custom Grand Opening:DFW and Texomaland come on down

Yeah...I was pretty sure it was a little on the sketchy side. Gun shots and weekend meth labs aren't cool...but the hourly rates aren't bad. I bet they even have the vibrating beds!

 

I would like to add that the night at Smittys will be PinUp night and there will be many hot scantily clad women running around. We also will have some free grub provided by our pals at Smittys for lunch. I will bet there will be some pinstripers in attendance. The speed shop is really coming together and we wil have lots of stuff for you guys to check out. We are going to try to block off the street in front of the shop for you guys to park. Will make awesome pictures.

I hate to admit it but I stayed at the Texoma Inn once when I was broke.

It is cheap as all get out and was okay for a single night if all you wanted to do was sleep and get out.

Personally the Hamtpton is much better. Course the Motel 6 there is anout 34.96 for a night and not terrible.

 

The last time I was in Denison was 4-5 years ago at Jamie fest at Watkins drive inn , Pushrods played ! It was cool , I won a ROAD DEMONS pic trophy ! There was a HAMB group pic took , anybody have that pic ??????????????

sorry but i cant make your opening but good luck seems like a neat place . would be neat as the 19 is my birthday but its to far right now but how bout in june , open to visitors as the hot rod power tour maybe coming right thru your town depending on the route they take .but it sure seems like a side trip could be worth it

Jamie, the route you mentioned today sounded good. Or what about going out of Denison to Carpenter`s Bluff, cross the old bridge into Oklahoma, take the back roads into Colbert, then run back into Texas across the Denison dam? That might be too long and might hear some dueling banjos playing across the river in the backwoods though...

RivRat and I are planning to cruise up from the Dallas area. If anyone wants to join us we'll meet in the Whole Foods parking lot at the Village in Fairview at 75 & Stacy at 9:30 and leave around 10:00. We plan to take it easy up 75 to Denison. My truck likes 60 mph so come on out and cruise up with us. PM me if you want cell number to meet up with us.

 

I'll be going threw there around 8am , im headed to Sherman first then on to the festivities !

there are decent hotels on 75 and 120. Smitty's closes a 2am. White Zombie for a date? You gotta be REALLY hard up, lol.

 

I have known White Zombie for a couple years and come to think of it, I have never seen him accompanied by a female.
