Not to say it's a good (versus innovative) idea, I suspect what they were thinking was...."how do we compensate for a lack of tractive force through what amounts to bicycle tires on muddy/loose ground with a six ton vehicle?"

It would have been good to think of how to change direction in the absence of a reversible pitch prop, too. Backing up appears out of the question.

  4. Yes...it has been proven to be a 1929 Buick bumper.

Uh...no, It has not. Nothing has been proven other than that there are different opinions as to what it is. Ask yourself this. I have just bought a new Airflow but I like a different bumper design. As it happens the '34 Chrysler Airflow has what I like and I know it will fit. Maybe I want to add a couple of vertical elements to it. Seems logical. OR in the alternative scenario, I have just bought a new Airflow and can't wait to slap a 5 year old Buick bumper on it which is straight across and turns severely at the ends and doesn't fit the design of my new car, but I love those Buick bumpers. What are the odds?

  9. Nope. So sorry about trying to educate you. Ban me for trying to help if you want. I guess I will have to go back to the AACA and tell the guy who actually owns a 1929 Buick that he has a "1934 Chrysler Airflow" bumper on his car and doesn't know what he's talking about. Onward to more vintage shots....

Argueing with Dodger31 about anything Chrysler related is like argueing with Squirrel on a Chevy, a waste of time.

  12. Haha, We're not arguing... We're looking at his family photos.

    Now this is vintage sweet.

    Happy Mother's Day

to any of our lady HAMBers who
    happen also to be moms.:)

Thanks, etsystatic! Etsy craftsperson Mary Ann Clancy, Eugene, OR, posted availability of this vintage photo
(with Mother's sentiments on the back) rendered as a greeting card on the Etsy site. It came right up when I
searched "vintage mother's day greetings photograph." Or, I think you can go right to it here: www.etsy.com
/listing/98521475/vintage-photo-mothers-day-greeting. Mary Ann's cost for this item is surprisingly low, BTW.
Buy what you need for next year, or send it now belatedly. Having just lost my own Mom in September, just
shy of her 86th birthday, I'm really feeling Mom's Day a little more than ever this time around.
