I love sedans especially when they are done like this. Good job!

  2. Got all the small parts blasted and ready to spray over the weekend, but ran out of sealer, hope to have the rest of the ch***is stuff done by Friday, and them the ***embly will start, I'm saving the body for last. I have been waiting for 2 months for the top wood from fordwood, so I ended up ordering from **** Spadaro, should be here in a few weeks.
Hope to have a bunch of updated pictures by weeks end.

  3. Got the motor and trans sprayed last night, and the backing plates and rear wishbone arms done. I'm off work tomorrow so I hope to start ***embly!

That looks great. Look forward to seeing it finished - which won't be long now, at the rate you're going!

    One sweet build - I'm in lust w/32 C-dans ....

  7. Long weekend update, got a ton of stuff painted and began the ***embly of the frame and suspension components. Only ran into one issue, the original style Taiwanese tie rod ends that are available have the taper in a different spot and have caused clearance issues between my tie rod and the wish bone, guess I need to search for some NOS ones.
Going to paint the wheels this week and need to order a few small parts, like the throw out bearing and headers, hope to have it running in a week or so, and then it's time to tackle the body. This is definitely the fun part of doing a build like this, kind of like LEGOS for adults!

  9. She is officially a roller with steering!, found some NOS tie rod ends and the gave me the clearance I needed, next is plumbing the brake lines and fuel line and drop the motor in and see if she will run.

Damn....you are hauling ***. Really nice! Simple, neat, old timey build.

Soooo Mike, I bet the only thing that makes this thread tolerable, is that your car went to a good home and that you still have another doos-sedan!

I do miss that machine, and yes, having the other Tudor eases the sting.

Actually, it's been pretty cool to see my old car taken down and now headed for a re-birth in a most *****in' incarnation. I'm diggin' it big time.

  15. Well I just lost my job today, the beauty of being a Government contractor, so I guess I'll have plenty of time to get this thing wrapped up in a month!

Hope that doesn't hurt you too much.

  17. In my time off the last two days, I was able to get the brakes plumed and bled, ran the fuel lines, set the motor in, got the headers on, as well as the intake, mounted the radiator and grill shell, as well as the hoods. here is what she looks like so far.

Is that a big beam that's been dropped 3"?...reversed eye spring?...if yes on both, than how is it that the wishbones don't hit the frame?

    inquirin' minds...

  22. If you are asking if its a 32 heavy, it is not, but it is dropped about 3.5 inches, and the eyes are reversed, and the top 2 leaves are flipped. There is no clearance issues between the frame and wishbones, where would the clearance issues be?

Between the top of the bone and the bottom of the frame back by the rear of the bone.

Hey Larry, a dropped axle won't change the relationship between the wishbone and frame, it just "raises the wheels" so to speak. Reversing spring eyes or rearching the the spring will but can usually be done without issue.

I dig the color too, Zombie, it really looks great!!
