I'm pretty sure this was posted earlier in this thread. I say that because there may be more pictures and info posted with it. The guy holding it up looks to be thinking, "Hurry up."
I show a lot of the same cars in different locales. That's because the same guys go to different events together.take for instance this BNC. Colin image.
We've hit the big time STREET RODDER Magazine! The current issue on the newstand has a two page sketch of a Cycle Car inspired by something here on the HAMB. I'll buy a copy tomorrow, but thought it looked great and the fact that the HAMB was given credit was nice to see.
Anyone know of a stock radiator that would work for that drawing (I've been staring at it for days and have a Zetec tucked in the corner of the garage)?
. I would like to thank everyone for their identification and comments on several of my recent posts. I'm sure I must have read and seen the previous posts on the Jappic but apparently it slipped off the edge of my aging memory. To the Rovin Monocar, 175cc - - - that is a great looking little early cycle car. Some investigation turned up more information on Mr. Rovin, a very interesting and original thinking gentleman it seems. Here's a group of photographs I found on-line that I find quite interesting - - - and I don't remember seeing previously - - if they have already been posted, please accept my apologies for the repeat. A link to the accompanying article can be found here: http://www.fuldamobil.de/Kratzer.htm .
Could someone post a scan of this sketch - I can't get a copy of Street Rodder over here without subscribing for a year.
X2. My last subscription expired soon after the world economy went south, and I haven't had spare funds for such a frivolity since.
I called the artist Eric Black and spoke with him briefly. One of the things I asked is that he post the picture to the HAMB's "Cyclecar " thread. The magazine is dropping the feature that the picture was presented in.So.before he posts here ,he is waiting for more feedback ferom the article so he can lobby to have the feature reinstated. Having said that, eventually Eric will post it HERE. The other thing I asked was, when will a poster be avalable? He said that he was working on that already. BanjeauX Bob
I'd try, but the illustration is a two page deal, split down the center by the gutter in the binding. Not only is my scanner too small to get it all in, but I doubt the results would be pleasing. I wonder if it is on their web site? Gary
I added this July 2012 Street Rodder magazine sketch to the "Totally Insane" thread that started this artwork. Bob
Had an Amilcar once. Nice little toy. Allways checking out things on PreWarCar too. When they have a barn find object you can bet it,s an old one !!!
. Kinda seldom seen I'd think - - possibly a Temperino engine for sale - - - at least it appears to be for sale - - - I can't figure out if or not it has already been sold. Here is a link to the item for sale: http://www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk/car-parts/3390/ .
I'm always amazed at some of the cars that surface. Then you when you consider how some of these survived WWII,the find becomes more special.
