KKOA Salina 2012 whos going from ia/ne/north?

Hey guys,

I know its still a bit of a ways down the road but I've been thrashing on the car in hopes of having it driving and shakin down enough to make the drive from Sioux City Ia to Salina for the KKOA show and was wondering if any of you guys north of me or along the way, Lincoln/Omaha are going and would want to convoy down?

There's not much cooler then cruising in a pack, and it sure would make me feel a little less concerned about hicups on the way down with some friends along.

Just thought I'd post something and see if any body would be interested

i am from north of fargo but kinda a lone wolf, may have a trailer and may stay overnite on the way .
waiting for some info to let me know what i am doing should be in about 20 days

I will be there - but I usually have to arrive early Thursday morn.....
so that means I gotta leave Iowa on Wednesday.

 

No over drive but it's geared for the highway so I shouldnt have a super hard time keeping your tail lights in view

 

Trying to make it this year. Count me in if I'm able.

I think, well for right now, it looks like my easiest route is I-29 to Omaha then I-80 to Lincoln and then shoot down on 77. We'll probably be headed down some time Thursday? Kind of a lose plan at this point

 

Tim...since you are going into Lincoln why not keep going west on I-80 to 81 highway...straight shot south into Salina...hope to see ya there

 

We will be there for sure! Last year was my first year & I'm totally hooked, although this year i want to bring a motorized a/c unit that i can ride around on......I thought Iowa can get hot.......WOW

 

I guess I'd never thought of taking 81 because last year I kinda meandered over there coming and going to different places so i figured I'd head down in a similar fashion this year.

I suppose I could hit 81 almost right off the bat in Yankton but then I lose out on possibly picking up cars along the way in omaha/lincoln and to be honest i've driven 81 south enough times to be tired of looking at the blah and 77 was a little more enjoyable to see out the windshield.

guess we'll see what the route turns out to be as we draw closer, thanx for the thought though. i hadn't even considered 81.

And Crazy legs, im definitely bringing some shade its no A/C but it helps

 

I'll be going with a group from Lincoln, we'll be taking I-80 to 81 also, stop at Concordia to stretch our legs.

We will be leaving Friday morning from Lincoln at 6:00-6:30

 

Hmm maybe I'll come down Thursday night to Lincoln and crash at a friends house and head out with you guys if you'd be alright with that?

I will be leaving fri. mourning from linclon also. I 80 to 81 south is the best way I have found also.

Rad Grouchy, it'd be cool to have a line of hotrods to cruise with. im getting pretty stoked. motor/trans and brakes should be in this weekend

I'm hoping that Voodoo Larry and many other cool people that have been there before in years past, will be there! Gene Winfield usuallly always goes...and Bill Hines was there last year (he's soo cute! )

 

hope you can make it out to Kansas..it's about a 4hour drive for us....but it's a great show with awesome music and cool hotrod celebs!

 

yeah im pretty sure itll be hot as it always is, maybe ill have to bring some shade with me haha
