Nasty barrel obstruction. Probably failed to remove tampion before firing. These are usually survivable, unlike many chamber failures of which I've got a few examples.

There are two bridges there. The original one in the b+w pic is still there, they just built a new one right next to it.

a "Poe Paris" & I would really appreciate an I.D on the first photo - the mid '50 job swinging out onto Stockton St. in S.F.
The next is pretty self explanatory. (Daily City being just to the south of S.F.)
The the Late Lone Star Bar gang on Clement and 25th Ave. Again S.F. & not to be confused with the new one of the same name.
And finally, Miles Davis "Man with the Horn" tour at the then Shoreline Amphitheater 1982. His Guitarist Mike Stern Brandishing a Fender Stratocaster had all the purists outraged.
    '82's OK,.. Eh?..

    A '53 Dodge I believe.

  24. You're close, but I'm thinking it's a '54.

When you consider the fact that most young people are at home on the couch playing video games instead of being at the track, that's pretty much what's happening now.

1949 metro Cleveland area, posted by RaceRon. THANKS, Ron! I suppose those AirFlows
were regarded with about the same disdain in '49 as Edsels were in '65! :( Ah! To run onto
such material TODAY in a boneyard!!!
