Thanks, there butt weld panel clamps i got them at harbor freight.

hadn't really even thought about it, getting the mini farm is shape since we moved over here has been the priority. When is it?

 

Its the 17-19th of August.

 

sounds like fun and so far nothing keeping me from going. I'm about 2 hours away from Spokane. If you need a place to stay, I have a couple of spare guest rooms you are welcome to use. heck, I'll even feed ya.........

 

Here are the details of the modifications that i made this weekend. First i started to mold the dash in. after that i worked on the door panels to make the dash flow into the doors better, so the dash doesnt look like an after thought. Next i modified the glove box dor so it matches the angle of the dash to again make it flow better.



Heres the pictures











Next I hand formed the door accent panels.










And the veiw thru the back window opening

 

And now for the glove box modification (hopefully im the first to do this, I think it really helps the dash flow)











Still have to tweak the gaps on the glove box door, still in progress.

Oh yeah laidout, I was thinking about your grille idea when I came across this picture. I'm not sure if this is kinda what you had in mind or not but I guess they actually made trucks with that set up haha! They did some pretty cool stuff to these style trucks in Australia to keep the new models fresh...

Ford Mike- thats the shape of the openning im thinking of, still not sure as to waht kind of floating grill bar to use? Way cool truck didnt know the were "desotos" in Australia...

 

Desoto, Fargo or dodge, supposivly you could decide at some dealerships the badges you wanted when ordering. That's a later model truck, around 57, single screen and newer front, there is a really cool front that's very scarce with duel head lights and a similar front

Dude. I love where you're going with this. Nice fab work.

I would center the lock on the glove box door to the visual center of the top dimension. Since the radius of the corners are different, the visual center may be slightly different than the true center. Just a thought...

Thanks, ya i know the corners are different and the gaps are off. Still a work in progress... Im trying to fiqure out a way to completely remove the lock/button all together.

 

for the glove box try looking at cabinet hinges at the hardware stores.

a canter-lever style may work for your'e needs. that way the door stays closed.

maybe use a V shaped pressure latch cabinets use.

try doing a google search, here'e a few l found, maybe more ideas there you can use.
