The trend just keeps on going in the same direction it seems! I don't remember anything like this type builds back in the,(traditional) days. I guess the young guns have a different mindset regarding what we are all about here, seems after all the hammering this type of builds have received they would finally understand what we are about! "Wakeup American"........

Don't let the nay-sayers get you down. Looks good, nice job on the chop.

It's just not as traditional as a lot of HAMBERS like to see. Don't be shocked if the moderators shut down your post.

Build what you like. All the original "traditional" builds came out of someone's head, and I'm sure somebody else told them it was wrong too!

not as tradional as alot of hambers like to see? papajohn, that ride isnt anywhere near traditional.nowhere! im all for a man building his ride his way. but you dont build a honda and call it american muscle.tradition doesnt come out of someones head, it comes from the past and you cant change the past to fit your needs or wants, no matter how bad you want to.

Just tell everybody this is practice for the Deuce your going to build someday. Looks like nice craftsmanship!

How are you going to overcome the steering arm off the box being right in the middle of the wishbone?

Where do you think the "traditional" ideas came from? Dropped from the sky? Magic beans? The stork?

Nope, out of someone's head who was here before us.

  14. Either you like them or you don't.....regardless this is not the place for that type of build......and shouldn't be posted here......and the people they say they should, maybe they shouldn't post here either......

Now onto the truck.....Looks a 1000x better than most. Build quality looks good. I like the rear fenders. Kinda sixties wild show rod style....I reserve judgement for the final product.

it does say it is his 1st build ever and he isn't finished. If I could get that far I would be pretty happy. how about some encouragement from you pros - I am sure your first build had some issues.

To all the nay-sayers out there...if you took the roof off that thing and put a "T" radiator shell in front...you'd have a rig that looks like just about EVERY T -bucket out there. Was Grabowski a traditionalist when he built his first bucket...or Ivo? Naaa...they were radicals and they started the look. I give RR's a break because for one thing, they are, in their way, keeping rodding alive even if I don't particularly care for them on the whole.
But I also understand that this is a "Traditional" rod forum as well....
    just sayin...

I agree. Not really my cup of tea, but I sure can appreciate the fab work and seeing a vision through. Lines and proportions are pretty good. A little on the long side, but a suicide front end almost demands it.

Don't know man, that's a bit of a stretch. I didn't enlarge the pics until I read your post. If you took the body off and put T stuff on, it'd be nowhere near Ivo or Grabowski's Ts.

If you looked at the era those cars were built in, there's styling cues from the times. This vehicle is taking styling cues from a new genre, not anything like the aformentioned rodder's.

Traditional as to building YOUR car is the tradition I see.
