That's the Heale/Foye/Peterson roadster pickup in its c. 1960 iteration. It was featured in the May 2010 Hot Rod Deluxe. According to the story those are Deuce rails with one rounded frame horn. They've since both been rounded and a spreader bar fitted.

If that's the same frame, it's had more work done to it than rounding the other frame horn and adding a spreader bar.
I lightened the original picture up a little. It does look like a 32, but I still don't see the revel (???) in it.

In the current iteration, the exhaust tubes hide the reveals. I figure it was the same way in the old days (it looks like it in the lightened pic). I'll re-read the article when I get the chance and see if there was a frame swap at some point.

Slick Idea....... I like this ... Many possibilities for alternate... How about a sedan delivery style...

  5. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's on a Model A frame now.

  6. I really love the concept...but I'm not fully %100 diggin the execution in this case. I'd like to see it with some compound curvage...lotta work but it would look more nicer.

    Killer looking ingin

Here's what I'm putting together now. '42 Merc engine with a T5 behind it, homebuilt frame, spring behind rear axle, the usual stuff.

Why is it, that 28/29's look so much better with fenders and boards...? Got a pinched 32 frame for mine....but im seriously thinking of doing a body swap on my coupe....

nostalgia59, that's going to be very cool. That gauge panel is fascinating - any idea what it is?

  24. It's suppose to be a '31 Chrysler dash insert. I made the panel...

Well, been wanting to do this for a long damn time, but have been way too broke/busy. Today my buddy Hot Rod Ron came over and we rolled the roadster P/U out into the light for the first time in almost five years. See, in my little hell hole of a shop there isn't a way to work on this thing 'cause you can't walk around it. It's out on my main building pad as we speak ready to get some of my attention this summer for it's primer, exhaust and wire. Just managed a "payments for the rest of my life" deal with a good friend of mine for something I have wanted forever... 16" Halibrand no holes!

So, humbly here it sits, and this will serve as the day I rolled it out and got my ass in gear - I hope.

Wheel deal by RON... I'm in sort of a weird debt - indetured servitude situation for what will seem like the rest of my days for the wheels, but ya think about it -What price Halibrands?! The big qestion now is do I prime it in tough guy black, or do I give a nod to another personal and local hero and prime it red/brown? HHHMMMNNNN...

And ya, I know this guy who'll ventilate the living hell out of it, but he's kind of an asshole... I hear he's had a friends hood for a couple months now and only has done one side. Prick...
