The Army Chief of Staff probably didn't have that many ground crew assigned.

Maybe he was going to be taken for a joyride that day.

Miss Francis did a deviled egg (yuch!) and a fried egg in a hollowed out space in a piece of toast. Which one you mean?

I confess I quickly graduated to Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop because I had "urgings" for Shari.

Since these shows were regional our Ding Dong eggs were the fried eggs in the cut out center of a slice of bread (eggs and toast in 1 slab). A bunch of these kid shows had local talent even though the show was coast to coast. Romper Room,Ding Dong School,Bozo The Clown here all came out of Boston Mass. We also had the "Ranger Station" with Ranger Andy and later Ranger Rick out of Hartford Ct. and I agree even at 5 or 6 I knew there was something "special" about Shari I just wasn't sure what that was!Now my grand kids are asking for Ding Dong eggs by name when their here!
