I have been building this roadster over the last couple years but I have not shared much. Some of you may recognize a few of the pictures from my tech week thread "How to channel an A the Jordan way". I figured I would put all my pictures up and start an offical build thread.

Here's the action from the last 2 years.

I really dig this car, And your Fab work. Once I get my roadster done we'll have to cruise!

  9. Super nice fab work....great stuff !!

  10. Very cool fab work. I appreciate it. I think chopped orchard posts would look great for your roadster windshield or a Hallock style frame. Do you have a direction yet?

Those were my thoughts exactly. I'm really not sure, but at this particular moment I'm leaning towards chopped posts.

Yes, very clean work and great detail in the fabrication. There are a lot of ideas to pick up on in this build. I'm subscribing.

Great job- wish I could do work like that. The only thing I notice is the lack of support for the headlights- they are going to vibrate badly and that blows bulbs very quickly. You might want to atleast tie the two sides together. Looks great!

Its solid rod so they are pretty sturdy, although I'm sure the weight of the headlights will turn the rods into a tuning fork. I will have to use your idea!

My lame bent tie rod is going down in flames. As soon as I get back into town custom steering arms will be on the way... Bump steer be thy enemy.[IMG]

This is what I call the "meet neighbors your never knew you had" method.
$100 router, several cheapo depot bits smoked.

Now I just need to put two 65 degree angles in it to make the "Z". I'm going to heat and bend them in a makeshift jig. I would have been done today but bottles are empty and of course, weld store is now closed on Saturdays due to crap economy. Arg.

BTW does anyone know the thread size I should tap in the arms? 1/2 -13?
    1/2-20?
