I like it when its mint around the windows!!the rest is shot!!! but then agian I fixed cars that the window were shot too!! lol.. what are we like at all!!
Got everthing all lined up for Sunday.. truck, trailer and a hand full of bodies to push it on the trailer!!cant wait!!
Its been a long day!! on the road at around 8 and home at 10 tonight! had a blast. The old girl came with just a fight with one tire that wouldnt hold air. swapped it out and she rolled on the trailer with no trouble. seem the hole in the drivers side quarter was the door for some critter and it had a nest built under the back seat!! Got another complete front clip with it too but I dont think Ill need it.. took it anyway. after we loaded it we ended up looking at a bunch of stuff the guy had there.. Lots of stuff.. let just say we joked about being pickers!! grabbed a bunch of hubcaps, a old coke sign, a coke machine as well as some emblems from different cars. Seems the guy collects them. had to stop on the way back and pick up a F1 frame and axles Jason picked up a few weeks back that has a mint set of 16 inch wheels. We stripped the frame on the side of the road and put it under the falcon on the trailer!! we came home with two trucks loads and a trailer with a car that was loaded up.. my Back is killing me!! but the old girl is in my yard now where it will sit now till I get time to pick at it. knowing me Ill be face and eyes into that before summer is out! lol
Yup...great day with a whole bunch of friends and on top of that, the guy who had the Falcon was as friendly as you can get...plus not out to lunch on his prices for all the stuff he had kicking around. Can't get better than that...unless you count the minature Goat he had as a pet! Followed us around like a little dog. With horns. The F1 frame is in decent shape for reuse if someone wanted it and it offered up a front axle and components for me, a full set of NICE 16" rims for Jason, the crossmember and pedals for fitzee...along with a good portion of body parts etc that Jason will resell to another friend in need! I'm giving Jason an extra set of Model A headlight buckets I won't be using in trade for the axle so thats another thing he can scratch of his "needed" list! Man...I am beat...but it was well worth it!
No he is a s****per.. collects aluminum and stuff then cashs it in. There is a fine dollors worth of stuff there. very nice guy.show us picture of a 48 Ford in the woods.gave us directions...well gave Bill directions to the car. as well as some other stuff around. good guy to know.
Just found the 48 Ford location on Google maps...he described the area perfectly! Gonna be an easy search for that one!!! Still gotta look for the location of the 64 Dodge...its a little harder to find the initial start point but once I narrow that down on Google the rest of the directions should fall right into place.
Oh you got to give me more details!! You nailed it with the look. some lucky I put the car at the house after that one if it was at the shop we be in trouble!! lol.maybe have her done for the National!! lol
x2 on keeping the w/4 sticker it would be really cool to find an old (wabx) sticker to go with it the other detroit early rock fm station
trust me it was hard but I had a local hot rodder show up at the shop today asking all kinds of qustion about the flatliner build and the g***er mood went right to custom....for now!! lol
I would tell you to stay focused on one project Fitzee, but I would be unable to practice what I preach lol!!
Yeahhhh...keep talkin' guys! Makes me feel a whole lot better about being unfocused ME! Hahaha At least I know I'm not alone!!!! Hey fitz..who was hangin' out today???
Glenn Hickey!! he is blown away by the flatliner chop and wants me to look at chopping a car he has!!
Thanks, I boxed the rear rails, fabbed a front stub then ran subframe connectors straight through. The front suspension was robbed from a 65 ford truck and I narrowed the the front axle. The rear suspension is handmade ladder bars with a panhard bar and coilovers. Drivetrain was a 427 chevy turbo 400 and a nine inch rear axle. If you need anything just pm me.
