  1. Hey A Rodder, Where did you get that cool luggage rack and how much did it cost?

    I guess I never posted in this thread so here's my contribution. 53 Chrysler Town and Country Wagon. Been resprayed once over the OG paint. I buffed it till it shined not caring where I burned through and this is what I've got now. I love how it's coming together. (And an OT bus with the same treatment but it's OG paint and interior)

    The OG wood repaired, cleaned up, sanded, stained and varnished. All the stainless polished out.

    That T&C is incredible. Let me know if you decide to sell, there is a local guy that has a few in his collection. Wagons, sedans, and at least one convertible.

    ...I'm sure Mr. A Rodder will check in, but it might be a page later, so -
    that's a Carter Carpac, made in the 50s-60s.

    Like the one in my avatar picture (from a 1964 Carter brochure).
    They came in different length, and are really nicely made.
    There are repro.'s, but...find an original.

    If you like them I know Mr. A. Rodder shows more pics of his in a thread some guy started on a 1956 Bel Air wagon:

    Ha, just a few minutes behind.
    Correct, it is a CarPac. Truth be told it is a new one from the same company. I was extremely fortunate to be able to buy it very reasonably from a hamber about two years ago. He swapped some parts to the owner of the company for the rack. Used it on his wagon for a summer or so and then sat in storage. I had posted I wanted one and he pm'd me and we made a deal. They are sold new at around 1600 dollars for the longer ones. The og ones are fairly hard to find and usually are shorter, and still very expensive. Keep your eyes peeled and one will pop up.

  11. Beautifull woody, reminds me of a sketch I did...

    Okay, I've been through this whole thread twice today just to see what I'd posted in the past, I can't believe I've never shared some of my more recent wagon drawings so, if you will indulge me...

    (Okay, this one is not so recent, in fact the Loretta 3000 drawing dates back to 1990)

    Reminds me of the style of that Guy (Trosley?) who drew for that "CARtoons" magazine back in the early 1980s.
    Nice detail. I like the "just enough rust" details on the woodie, too!

  14. Thanks guys. I love this thread!

    Here are 3 rare ones...but they're in the funniest ad I have seen in forever.

    (((I have a 1962 Mercury Comet Villager woodie...always looking for another, as they are rare)))).

    SO I found one. ANd it is a good project, but I would have to buy it with 2 rough 1960 Colony Parks together.........for $65,000. !!!!! :) :) :)

    ===============
    <<<Ad says, "Please verify rarity, only call if serious"! >>>
    ===============
    Wow.
    But cool projects @ $2K each.

    I saw that ad a day or two ago. The guy is nuts.....Not one of the 3 wagons is more than a very rough project (In fact, I'd say the Comet and one of the CP's are nothing more than parts cars...). So....he's got maybe
    $10k in wagons there (and I think I'm being generous....)
