Here is one of mine of my 1947 convert.

 

Trying to decide which picture of my car is my favorite is impossible to do and because of my indecision I will show two pictures.
The first is a side view which I like very much.



The second picture I like because it shows the interior colors.

I am sure it has been said many times before ,this is a great photo.
Love the little turn of the wheels, the backdrop ,the rod.

I think that my "favorite" pictures of my hot rods are ones that other folks have taken and I stumble across on the interwebs. To me, that's the highest complement that I feel that I can receive. Fortunately enough, I haven't seen any pics of my hot rods that have been examples of "what not to do". (realizing I just opened myself up for direct criticism!!!)

I found this pic of my '40 coupe, on George McDowell's CarNut.com, in a rainstorm at the '09 Springfield NSRA event.

That's easy! It's the one of my son holding open the door for his prom date. Just a day earlier he and I were out making sure it was spotless both inside and out, and going over everything under the hood, making sure it wasn't going to leave the kids stranded. He learned how to turn a wrench on that old hot rod. I can't tell you how many hours we'd spent out in the driveway together, fixing this or that, or adding this or that. Now here he is driving it to his senior prom...

It hasn't happened yet. But I promise I'll dig up this thread in another 14 years and add my favorite shot.

I think the picture in my avatar is close. It came from a British Magazine "Classics and Sports Cars" or some such. But the picture in Rodders Journal #12 at Muroc is my favorite. If I knew how I'd scan it into the computer and use it for an avatar.

 

Hammer-down-elbows-up-action in Hot Rod mag has my jalopy looking like something it really isnt; FAST OR NICE
