Projects Shaved door handles

A few years back (10) my wife bought a shaved door handle kit for me and I didnt get around to installing it until about six months ago, it is a VPA INTERNATIONAL Model 80158-35DP. Everything in the system works but the first remote quit working almost instantly and the second one worked for a week or so before one of the ****ons quit working. I have looked everywhere for a replacement two-****on remote with no luck. Does anyone have any idea where I could get one? Thanks.

Any chance it could just be batteries? I always look at the simple fixes first, and a change of batteries usually works in a situation like this.

Ditto on the batteries. It's been sitting for 10 years so the batteries drain, regardless.

 

I purchased and installed new bateries in both remotes soon as this happened, no changes.

 

I would check with a good car audio shop, those guys are pretty good at finding/programing remotes because of the aftermarket car alarms they have to deal with...at least they might be able to point you in the right direction!

Just shield your eyes as there will most ***uredly be several Fast and Furious Imports in and around the shop!
