  3. Hey guy's, thanks for all the nice comments, It means more that you guy's like it then anyone else, as you guys know what hot rods are suppose to look llike.

And a big thanks to Jason at Early Wheel for the rims, just don't get any better!

    Thanks again, Eric

I have lots of pictures, what do you want to see?

I have a set of "baby Moon's" but everyone says it looks just perfect without them ---- We'll see.

Thanks Dude, but not as kool as yours!

Sorry Dude, I don't think wires look good on a 40!

Your looking at it, at least for the next couple of years.

It's in the works, my stripper is real busy and a 5 hrs away, maybe before the snow!

Beautiful truck..... But you need something to break up the black from the fender to the tire to the wheel. I like the black walls.... but maybe either a beauty ring on the wheel or a different color wheel all together... whatcha think?

  6. I really thought hard about the shinny red wheels, and still may go that root, but for now it's on the road and will be till the snow falls.

You nailed the stance, I dig the blackwalls and with the hood on, Nice work man!

  9. I like it a lot. Good looking shop truck, especially with the two tone paint! Personally, I like it a bit better with the hood on, but hell, it's your truck. Safe travels on your trip.

Nice ride. You are going to love it. The one thing I like about my daily is it's low maintenance. If the key fits, go! enjoy your trip.

  11. Just a quick update, I just returned from 10 days vacation and almost 2000 miles and zero problems with the 40 and lots of fun!

So a big thanks to all the Hambers that came up and talked to me durning my 4 cars shows and 2 cruise nights. I may have to consider the same vacation again next year! But if I do I'll have to take the flathead as well as the 40!

    Thanks again everyone.

I dig the truck just the way it is. I prefer the hood on myself but the wheels appear to need something. I thought about it and all I could come up with was beeing driven off. Then its perfect. Is that primer or a hotrod flatz paint? I like the flat reds, that is one of the best looking I have seen.

The truck turned out great! Some pinstriping and it's good to go, maybe some chrome spiders to break up the black wheel/tire combo a little?

  15. I think the truck is too cool, and it's obviously been built right if you went that far on your trip and had no problems. That's the end result we all strive for.

In my opinion, which means nothing:
For the perfect wheel/tire, I visualize it with chrome reverse wheels (same widths you have right now) with spider caps and thin whitewalls. Some Tommy the Greek style striping with red outlined in cream on the fenders and black outlined in cream on the cab. A nice, early '60s vibe. Also, I think it looks better with the hood on.

I like 40's...Your's looks great the way it is. The only thing I would add would be an old fashioned shop logo on the doors.

  17. Well thanks for all the Kool comments, Yah I love it the way it is, I may put some "baby Moon" caps on the rims just to break it up a bit. And yes there is some pin stripping to happen in the near future including a door logo!

The hood will stay on (most of the time) and the paint is single stage high gloss with a couple coats of flat clear.

    Thanks again.
