Hell yes we're on! George and Dragon be the place, killer fish and chips, an okay burger, but most importantly NewCastle on tap in pint glasses. What time say you guys? It's getting dark later and later these days now that it's as hot as the surface of the sun 'round these parts...

Were you guys at So-Cal last Saturday? I remember you saying you catch a breakfast at Mel's after.I was going to make it but it was my better half's birthday so "If mama's not happy, no ones happy"!

Absatively! Every So-Cal morning for a couple of yeas now we get together at Mel's and have a bite. Please join us next month. Oh, and introduce yourself at So-Cal too. I'm the somewhat long winded blonde guy handing out louver flyers and laughing too much!

MMMMMMMNNNNN! Had one last year when I was up! I always manage to hit St. Paul on the 1 perfect week of the year and it makes my think about why I live where I do... Then every year when it's 20- zero, my aunt and uncle come down here for the winter and I remember!

Hey guys! I hate to do this at the last minute, but I'm not going to make it tonight. I have been dealing with a cold off and on for two weeks, and that and my asthma have conspired with all the crap in the air from the fires up north to make breathing tough. I have to lay low tonight, 'cause if I get too loud and laughing tonight, the next great bit of H.A.M.B. enterainment is you guys taking me to an emergency room! I do hope it goes off for everybody else tonight though.

I hope you shake that cold. A cold is really no fun with 100+ degree temps and chunky air. I keep finding may cars covered in tiny bits of ash here in north Pheonix.

 

Thanks man! I turn into a giant pussy when I catch a cold, cause as a lifetime Asthmatic, if it settles in my chest I'm screwed. Almost had it completely licked last week and the fires came. Oh well, watcha gonna do?

Now if we ever are all together and we make that hypothetical E-room jaunt, and the outcome is unfavorable, you guys have to promise to 'Weekend at Bearnie's" me for at least a week or two of hot rod stuff! You know, 'till I stink or somethin'....

Nope! The most fabulous weekend of the year is upon us... LARS!!! I'm out the door in the morning for fun and adventure. How about next Thursday? I have been wanting a Harvey's wine burger so bad I fear my soul is shutting down. I am open to other suggestions though.

 

I really wanted to go too...

I'll be in the downtown area on Saturday afternoon and planned on stopping at McD's on Central around the normal time, but I don't know for sure if anyone else has that plan.

 

I know tri-power is planning to be down this weekend. Why don't you bump his Take Back Central post.

Just as another thought, what does anybody think about the "Bikini" over on Grand and 15th for one of these get togethers later this summer? The parking lot is a bit isolated from the bar, but the joint is pure cool!

 

id like to criuse on up to PHX for a get-together some time. its a haul for me but maybe squirrel and i can criuse on up

Harveys is fine with me & the Dragon on Central is ok. Cant go in the Highliter either, got shot last time in there.

 

Sounds like you might have even better bar stories than me! I did watch my then future girlfriends ne'r do well sister strip at the Highliter one night (while picking up one of my cars that dead sticked into that particular parking lot). I later found out when you new love interest is ashamedly telling you about her stripper sister you should never shout out "wow, does she work at the Highliter!?!?"

I dont remember her name on the stage. All I remember was droopy t!ts, her old man was sitting next to me when I made a comment about her. He didnt take to kindly to the comment. Witnesses said I was on my hands & knees crawling towards the door when her old man shot me in my back. Took an inch off the bottom of my left kidney. Allmost killed me. Came to in Good Sam Hosp. I was 16 at the time. All I wanted was to drink my beer before going home!!! Was on a first name basis with a juvy court judge from prior issues. He came to the hosp. Said on the day I turn 17, I was to inlist for a minimum of 3 years in the active duty military, or he was going to put me in Florence for 5 with the guy who shot me!!! The day I turnd 17, I inlisted,,,SOB judge was standing right there!!!!
