I have my 52 Ford COE almost ready for paint job. The Glass men have installed new glass in the windows, front, rear and vent wings. More pics are available in my album in HAMB statistics.

Being a die-hard Dodge man for most of my life, I hate to admit it.

I really really like that truck. You've done a fine job sir, workmanship is there as well as looks. :)

Being a die-hard Dodge man can you imagine a quality build like this on a mid 50's Dodge COE?

Anymore pictures of this one? I was there last year, but do not remeber seeing this one. Looks like a for sale sign in the right windsheild.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the kind words. I am a die hard Chevy guy but I have been looking at a couple mid 50's Dodge coe trucks because they have great lines and you never see them. Of course it would be chevy powered and it would be a crew cab project. I just got to convince the wife it a good idea....have to get my 59 NAPCO truck done first.

I'm planning on installing a Vintage Holmes Wrecker on my '52 GMC 470 series COE, & wanted the push bumper treatment that alot of Dealerships would do to their Wreckers back in the day. I
added a extra factory bumper today to the exsisting factory bumper. How do you guys think it looks?

Looks good . I have a 1 ton parts truck here that used 3 pickup chrome bumpers with rubber strips stacked like that, looked kinda cool.

  16. Looks good!
I dig the stacked bumper thing on old tow trucks.

Layland owns DAF in 1987. They trade as Leyland-DAF in the UK, and just DAF elsewhere. DAF is actually quite large in the trucking business.

I saw this one a few times at the monthly swap meet at the Glendale Community College in AZ. For not knowing any better, I sent pics to my father, telling him I saw "a cool old Ford Anglia". I don't recall how I came to that brilliant deduction, but I found out better. I recall the owner's name was Scott, and he put it up on Craigslist about a year ago for $50K, I think.

I may be mistaken but the rig on this one looks much like those on the
M-32 Recovery vehicle built on a Sherman Tank Chassis in WW-II. Definately for heavy lifts!

That is a pretty cool lift, IIRC the person that posted this originally might have said it was a telephone pole installation truck? (but I'm not totally sure)

That is such a great photo! :D

Now correct me if I am wrong but DAF is a Dutch Company that purchased British Leyland Truck division ?

The 6BT is a great engine I have one in my F4.
