  1. I think their claim of "the smallest post office in the US" may be off a bit. I was always told that this one was the smallest.

This is a great thread! Thought I'd contribute a photo of a friend's father around 1956.

There is a rather famous, yet controversial preacher in this picture. His wife is in the picture also along with the young adults of his church. It is an interesting picture to me as it is his last Christmas as a pastor and my Mom's last Christmas as a single woman.

There is a non-existent reward for figuring out who he is.

No idea. I found those images by accident when I looked up Oral Roberts. The site only speaks of the modifications and how he used it. I****ume it has not been located or positively identified?

Every Tuesday morning we had our drills in grade school. Amazing they thought it would do any good.

Love the series of Chicks on bikes! But what is with the tiny wheel on the one in the foreground of this shot? With the piston by her foot I am guessing steam powered?

Now that I've seen that alot of you are into WWII Aviation related history, I thought I'd share something from my private collection. I've had this for many years and recieved the sign directly from a resident of Clacton at the time of the crash. He was our nieghbor in Ipswitch in the 50's.

Early WWII, Battle of Britain, Clacton crash. Hienkel HE-111 was laying mines off the coast. Crashed in Clacton, this was some of the damage. Sorry scan of the pic turned out small.
