Thanks for the info. Think I´ll have to by me a bigger oven.59 Impala lights are to big for the one I got.
Finally got my car registred here in Sweden today. Was a little trouble with the identification number, but thanks to Rik Hovings great website http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_..._i_like/custom_cars_from/finnish-1946-ford-c/ They could follow the history of the car, see pictures with the finnish plates on it and was convinced that it actually was the same car. Thanks Rik!!!
Glad the Custom Car Photo Archive site could fix your registration problem so that you can now enjoy your car. Congratulations with your new Customs... A very fine one for sure.
Very Nice Ride Edster!. I checked out the Pics on Riksters site. Nice to see the in progress pics. Good luck with it Fryguy
Never realized how cool those exhaust tips are on the Westergard/Falconer 39. We're those made by Westergard or done later?
Ok, thats how I remember them. Looks like they've been updated but they did a nice job, not too over the top. Personally I would probably go back to the original Westergard style pipes just because of the history of the car.
Lets bump this bitch! So the Matranga(Emmons) picture at Peterson(Vault).......Was that during their Kustom Exhibit ? It sure would be great if they would do it again.
Bump for the weekend and some update on the Plymouth. Windows are in and MG running boards stripes installed (inspired by Ron Guidry & Jim Mc Kinley) Still some work (rear bumper, interior, stainless window trim) but hope to get it street legal within the next 3 months. But enough on the Plymouth. Want to see other cars than mine on this thread. Enjoy the weekend.
Love the Westergard Ford. Looking at the sneek peak picture are the tires just rollers, they seem to be to thin a white for that car
Can't believe that car is on the other side of the world now!!! Glad you got it J.B. and I hope you're happy with it!!! Now go forth and create.
Congrats once again J.B. . I love those cars and I know how authentic you will build it on the outside and under the hood.I cant wait to see it after you are done but I do love them cars stock.
You are correct, it's currently wearing skinny whites with chrome reverse wheels, which is a real shame given that its a Westergard masterpiece and those items just don't belong. The car is owned by a museum and unfortunately, they are not interested or don't have the resources, to put the appropriate era's rolling stock back onto this beautiful car.
Thats a shame cleatus. Thats actually a car thats like a naturally beautiful woman. She can get away without makeup to be a beauty. Throw the wide whites on her and it would be that beautiful woman all dolled up on the red carpet, a true knockout. Maybe we can give some donations to the museum so as they can be able to afford the proper attire.
Lowered and with painted skirts from today. This is the way I'll run this summer. Maybe I'll try to get those worn old Lorraine 37's in place too... Thanks for your kind words and special thanks to Jeffrey James that went to look at the car for me before buying! Much appreciated!
I was thinking the same thing while sanding my car last night - a HAMB Collection to send to the museum, along with some input as to which wheels, caps, tires were on it during its heyday. How cool would it be to know that you personally contributed to helping put a Westergard beauty much more closely back to what it was?
Cleatus, I would give some money. to be able to help a true classic shine once again in its glory would be a great feeling. We need to preserve our history while we are trying to recreate it.
